Hughes would be awful
I wouldn't say awful as it would be an upgrade on Martinez to me but he's no better than Moyes to me.
He would have us safe in and around 6th - 8th.

Might as well just get Moyes back if Hughes is the standard we are looking at.

Won two titles at Ajax and the cup. Won the cup at Benfica (expected I know), won the title at PSV, won the Copa with Valencia at a time when the club was in a bit of a state though his league performance was poor. Learned from his mistakes to make a success of himself in the Prem in his first job here.

Not exactly shabby.

I agree he did well so far with Southampton but so did Martinez originally at Everton. He won 2 titles with Ajax but resigned after they fell 8 points behind PSV in the league and Ajax was in decline and he had a disappointing last season which was the reason why he resigned. He joined PSV and anyone of Ajax, AZ or PSV could have won the title at the last game of the season even though PSV were doing well at the start of the season but in the 2nd half of the season PSV struggled, getting 19 points out of a possible 39, although they did have some injuries as excuse.

Then also from what I understand he took Valencia to 2 points above the relegation zone before being sacked and then joined AZ and got sacked within 7 months after starting there due to losing 7 of the first 16 league games (After AZ won the league the previous season with Van Gaal.)

I am not against Koeman as our possible replacement...and will support him fully if he is appointed...and maybe ..Koeman has learned from his mistakes in the past and will be a good manager for us as he has an impressive record at Southampton. I however have some doubts if he is the best option out of the mentioned candidates. De Boer in my opinion is a better option although it will be a risk as well. Mourinho is my first choice (I know probably not happening). My order would be...

Mourinho
De Boer
Emery
Koeman

Hughes would be worse than Moyes, who could at least manage top 6. And he's a bad tit.

Swerve.

He is a beaut, but Barton was bang on on talkcrap yesterday. He said start with Mourinho and work your way down if you get knocked back.

These beauts who are coming out with Mark Hughes, Dyche, Howe are just brainwashed by plucky little Everton.. god forbid we dare to be great again.

If so then I'm back on supporting us strike. Hate him.
