I hate to break this to you but Sam Quek ( GB hockey Olympic winner , kopite from Heswall ,) is a chiefs supporter because they remind her of the RS !. I’m a glory hunter Dolphins fan from the Merino/ Shula days but I used to watch The Wirral Wolves home and away . (WOOL)
I know she’s a chiefs fan . She’s got right in on the whole NFL UK thing . So the Wirral has a team ? I’ve noticed on twitter that amateur American football over here is on the rise .

The Wolves were going in the mid 80's , they had a Canadian lad who's dad was in the services at QB and played at Prenton Park, I went to Runcorn away and the Warrington Scorpions , they had gorgeous cheer-leaders. A few years ago in my job I came across "mister x", I though I know that name, and his 2 brothers played as well, I did the professional bit, and then asked "did you and your brothers play etc... , do you remember that day someone sparked out the Runcorn coach on the sidelines ?" "yes mate that was me that smacked him !". I lost touch with the game but the BBC coverage has drawn me back in so I'm rooting for the Eagles and Saints based on great holidays I've had recently, so I'm stuck tonight ! and if Nick Foles needs a job we'll have him at the Dolphins.

I struggle to make conclusions from his data/research. He firmly believes that running backs don't matter. QB and OL matter. He has a mountain of data to back it up.

I am starting to come around...especially after seeing the likes of Le'Veon Bell, Kareem Hunt, and Todd Gurley seemlessly replaced.

Football is all about positions though. Most of my post to you was sarcasm but in the case of the Wilson example he is what makes a difference. Let me explain.

QB's and RB are both useless without OL. FACT

WR are useless if the QB is not accurate and so on.....

Some QB's know how to stay ahead when their OL is crap. One of the best QB's to do that is Wilson.

There is in the history of football i bet vey few RB who could succeed with no OL.

The likes of Aaron Donald has even changed what coaches and GM's look for in DL men out of college. The guy is undersized but so fast and powerful and not like what they used to be.

Football is pretty much all schemes, tactics and taking advantage of stats.

Is there skill in the game sure there is and plenty of it.

To write of every player on the top of their respective stat chart because some nerd has data is quite frankly disingenuous and a bit mad.

I see you point i get your point but that guy with his data needs to relax and take football for what it is. He just sounds bitter. Does he have any stats on the Seahawks? How they would be terrible with a QB that wasn't Wilson?

There are a whole bunch of people who say that taking a RB in the first round of the draft now makes no sense because of how easy it is to find good ones later on. Even a player as good as Barkley still has a whole host of critics over the pick because they could have gotten Quinton Nelson and then say Kerryon Johnson or Chubb the next round and been just as effective if not more so running the ball.

Even looking at my team who got production out of Gus Edwards who finished training camp as the fifth string running back. I'd go along with the idea that the scheme, QB and line are more important.

Finding a RB later on is proof that the use of stats and the combine simply is flawed. How many players are there in the NFL who were even missed in the draft and were free agents.

To me its because there are so many colleges to pick players from scouts tend to get lazy and look at the guaranteed teams in the likes of the SEC and other teams who churn out quality.

As a Rams fan when they drafted Cooper Kupp i said who? And i watch a lot of college ball. When i watched and interview with McVay and our GM when they explained what they saw it made sense. They saw him in college he was on their list and when they noticed other teams were not that interested they snapped him up.
