It's nice to see Utah have a second professional sports franchise imo.Salt Lake is the right city to take them as well, IMO. I expect a natural rivalry with the Avs to develop. Should be fun.
It's time to bring back the Quebec Nordiques i'd say.I'm not sure Salt Lake will work either. To be perfectly honest I don't think there are any good US markets left for hockey. I don't buy Houston, the demographics aren't there like they weren't there in Atlanta. Then you're looking at cities that support minor/junior hockey fairly well and that's like Cleveland, Milwaukee, and Portland. None of those sound too likely.
Quebec City would immediately be the smallest metropolitan area in the league. Not to mention a lot of people there are diehard Montreal Canadiens fans and will never go to another team's games. They would really struggle. It's time to bring back the Quebec Nordiques i'd say.
You not counting RSL intentionally? It's nice to see Utah have a second professional sports franchise imo.
Sorry i was only taking NFL, NBA and NHL into account there. You not counting RSL intentionally?
Haha was just curious. Some people draw the line in the US at the “big 4” which doesn’t include MLSSorry i was only taking NFL, NBA and NHL into account there.
I don't follow MLS i only know of a small handful of teams in it, and Real Salt Lake until just now were not one of them!
must have been a massive downer for the Quebecker's to see their team win Stanley in the first full year after moving to Denver as the AvalancheIt's time to bring back the Quebec Nordiques i'd say.
They would immediately be able to support a team. So would Hamilton. The NHL and Bettman just hate Canada.Quebec City would immediately be the smallest metropolitan area in the league. The Habs had a great rivalry with the Nordiques back in the day as well. I'd say there's a market for a team in Saskatchewan as well. They would immediately be able to support a team. So would Hamilton. The NHL and Bettman just hate Canada.
Let's move more teams to the US desert instead.
Based in Regina to have a mini-league rivalry with Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg ?The Habs had a great rivalry with the Nordiques back in the day as well. I'd say there's a market for a team in Saskatchewan as well.
I just think there should be at least two more teams in Canada.Based in Regina to have a mini-league rivalry with Calgary, Edmonton and Winnipeg ?
Hamilton could definitely support a team, but haven’t they been blocked by the Maple Leafs and Sabres? They would immediately be able to support a team. So would Hamilton. The NHL and Bettman just hate Canada.
