Pat's Van
Player Valuation: £70m
Well, Martinez hints very heavily that it'll be a PL battle hardened player. So who could that be for the right price? Long maybe?
Emile Heskey hasn't officially hung up his boots yet...

His movement is superior to Jelavic; he stays on his feet to offer a physical presence whilst Jelavic is on his arse looking to avoid it; and he has better link up play than Jelavic. Also, could you see Jelavic doing with the big feller did against S'ton the other week dancing round three challenges and getting a shot off?
People need a long lie down in a dark room if they think Jelavic is up to any sort of comparison with a lad like Lukaku.
Everything is short term for a club like Everton. We can lose players in the any transfer window on the whim of a club prepared to put a good offer on the table.

Blimey. I only read the bit about Jelavic. Didn't know he said that.
We're signing Kevin Phillips aren't we?!

I could only think it could be Long or maybe Defoe.
Where's that interview?
Lukaku has been awful for ****in ages now. His first touch has slowed down or ended all our attacks in the final third. He's been lazy and shown little to no movement off the ball. And for a big lad he wins ZERO high balls in the air. Simply put, as an overall football player, he's been total pants recently. HOWEVER, when the man eventually gets a chance, the man ****in buries it!!!
On the flipside there's Jela. He's been horrendous for the guts of a year. Having said that, preseason he was scoring again and when given a chance off the bench he's looked 100x more lively in 20mins than Lukaku has look for months. Now today, given a chance at starting, he has come within a crossbar of scoring a hattrick!
Therefore the question is, do we start a man because he's a great finisher even though he's been playing ****e and may not get a decent chance at all, or do we start the man who's had a ****e year but has recently looked threatening and has now scored 2 goals after starting?
I think it's obvious whether you like him or not, Jela should start against Norwich. No question about it. And **** all this experiment **** out the window. Just based on each player's current performance alone.
Bring it Jela!!!
Christ what a bore you are
Against a PL team he doesn't get those two chances today.
He'll never score enough for us and his all round play is rubbish.
It's a no brainer that he stay on the bench or leaves.
How many times was Jela caught offside today?
We're far beyond the stage of buying players like Shane Long.
