None mate. If you play well your in, play poorly you're out.

I hated Moyes for doing the exact opposite.

I'd be made up to see him start against Norwich. If he has a crap game he's back out the side.

Simple performance management. He'll be crushed if he's dropped after that today.

And what if he misses a sitter like he has done countless times ?

We can't afford to be playing somebody who hasn't scored a league goal in 11 months. We're meant to be chasing a top four spot !!

If he misses a sitter he goes back out. But every other player like Dela, Oviedo, Stones and others know that if you get a chance and take it you stay in the team.

Overall that benefits you more than people thinking they'll never get a fair crack of the whip.

...I remember a post-match interview some time ago involving Cahill and Neville when they were asked about Jelavic. The looks on their faces said how much they rated him. That moment sticks with me but he's not been productive and if we can bring somebody in for the amount we get for him its a no brainer as far as I'm concerned.

The cheek of Neville criticising anybody should be the most memorable part of that interview for you

Mate.... he's had a fair crack of the whip.

He started 26 games last season and was subbed on in 11, scored 7 goals. He's started five games under Martinez and been a sub in four more, zero goals.

He doesn't deserve to be dropped. He's come in and done well. Keep it up and stay in the side. That's how it's got to be if you want hungry players.

It also says to Rom that he needs to be on top of his game to stay in the team. No bad thing.

Yeah, if he misses loads of sitters and does nothing it's sound because at least he'll feel nice about getting a fair crack at the whip.

I'm sure they'll just give us the three points so who cares if he's crap?

Will they? That's awful kind

He's just played well and slotted a few. He's looked good when he's been brought on too.

Not like Roms been tearing everyone a new arsehole. Obviously he's the better player, BUT, there's a reason West Brom used him the way the did last season and its obvious to me.

Selling Jelavic without a replacement isn't really leaving us short of another striker. The feller is worse than useless anyway.

There surely must be a case for playing one of the kids like Long before handing another appearance to that dead loss?

If he was worse than useless why did he score two today?

Against a PL team he doesn't get those two chances today.

He'll never score enough for us and his all round play is rubbish.

It's a no brainer that he stay on the bench or leaves.

Rewriting your position there like mad.

'If this were a premier league team'

Pfft.
