Why do I need to wait 1 year to be proved right? We all know he is awful. Just like we all knew Jelavic wouldn't come good again.

Over three seasons that too. Seeing what I've seen in an Everton shirt, I can see why that happened!

Still, it's a Jelavic thread. I wish him well, but I wish we sign a quality player with the money.

For £5.5m that's daylight robbery though, especially as i think that Sagbo is relatively useful, this signing makes no sense for Hull!

It'll do me!

Bruce is wanting another winger. I think he is planning to slightly alter the way Hull play, get to the byline and plenty of crosses into the box. This will will suit Jelavic providing he stays on his feet.

Again, I'm not writing him off, I'm saying I hope he comes back with a different attitude, as it was god-awful for every second of those six appearances.

Not true. He hit post at least once , and had a few good touches .He didn´t even have time to settle before getting crocked. Lets face it lad if he does not pull his wieght he won´t get near the sarting line up.

He had more time than Lukaku to settle, more time than Deulofeu, more time than McCarthy etc. etc.

He hit the post, whoop dee doo. It wasn't an effort to get himself in that position or superior movement, it was sensational buildup play and his only job was to tap it into an empty net, which he fluffed. He also skied a sitter about six miles over the bar too.

He didn't pull his weight, that's my issue with him, and he showed no sign of doing so. I accept he needs time but if I'd have seen him at least running about and putting a shift in like he actually cared he's at a new club and needs to impress then I wouldn't be arsed about his misses. Before his injury, he literally did nothing.

I've read that we're asking for £4.5m. Hopefully Palace, West Ham, QPR or Cardiff will join the bidding and we'll be able to get our money back.

He probably will do well for someone but he's not going to take us to the next level.

But you continued to give the benefit of the doubt to a player who hadn't scored for 9 months, yet another player who hadn't played the sum total of one PL match is written off?

-Kone's body language (and as a conjecture, his attitude too) has sucked imo whenever he's been on the pitch for us, and at other times when i've seen him around the squad Dave.
Maybe i'm wrong, it could be a cultural thing, but I wouldn't rule Tubey's hypothesis out completely.

Already agreed a fee, of which Greg O'Keefe has said 5.5m. He tweeted before Alan Myers too.

The Echo are reporting £7.5m, decent price if you ask me and if Hull can get 2012 form from Jelavic they'll be a tricky team to play. At Hull they'll probably play more to his strengths than we have so I can see him banging them in for them.

Come on mate, 'body language'? We all know what he's capable of. I think his fitness was a major issue. He gets a good pre-season in and away we go, clean sheet of paper.

If true, that's robbery. And I'm a Jelavic advocate.

I can understand why we'd get around £5m for him as he's proven he can score at this level, and that's a rare quality, but his form doesn't justify a 50% profit on him from our end.

More on Jelavic fee. Believe Hull have agreed to pay £5.5m with the potential for it to rise to £7m with add-ons. #EFC

Great business for us, really.

Will miss him but hopefully we can put the funds towards bringing in somebody who can kick on and give us that boost to push us further in the race for top 4.

Way more than I thought we'd get. But people overpay for strikers all the time, so I guess it doesn't surprise me. We should be looking for the future starter, so I'd expect to spend this and then some.
