Alls i'll say is.

Yes, the Scottish league is a real mixed bag.

BUT.

This guy is the top scorer for the top team in the league.

I'm game.

pay up or we'll break McCoist's legs.

Transfer debt owed was cleared by 2010. £8m of the £9.2m outstanding was cleared before Mr. Whyte came in. I can't post the link to our annual report where the chairman at the time, A.J. Johnston confirmed this.

Not like FourthOfficial to be talking drivel.

Having seen him play regularly, I'm hoping we get a deal done for the boy. He's got an eye for goal AND a good, solid work rate.

I'd say anything between 4-6m would be a great deal, 7-8m would be less so given our financial state right now. Basically, if we were signing him from Bolton, we'd be paying £10m for the cat.

Most deals involve at least two if not more agents , this one is no different except one of those involved is related to our manager. It's is perfectly lawful and all payments will be made through clubs/players involved. Providing no pressure is exerted on a club or player to use anybody involved nor any undeclared payments there is absolutely no problem.

That's the key.

They owe us something by way of compensation for Walter Smith, let's call it 'sorry money'.

Im farily sure it will be less then 8 mill to be honest id think in the region of 6mill with possible add ons. Like i say hes a player thats been on our radar for a while - hes been extensively scouted over the years and recently. He has a lot of attributes to be honest, while many have questioned his pedigree he has done it at his respective clubs, in Europe has international recognition, its all he can do really, seems like the perfect lead up to going on to a bigger stage in a more competitive league.

Its all well and good saying he coming from the SPL but so did the likes of Henrick and Stephan Fletcher. I can think of a few who have gone north from the PL and flopped in the SPL. Undoubthedly the PL is of a higher standard, but playing up there comes with different pressuers and especially playing for the old firm you need a certain strong charicter and resiliance or you melt. Hes also from the Balkins who traditionaly do very well attribute wise in the PL.

Like i say, i think he will improve our goals +, hes capable of 10-15 a season - he also has the potential to improve as a player, he is also a provider - he can play down the middle, inside right and left.

Hes 26 - whats that 1.5 mill odd untill hes 30 a season - with potential resale value. Cant see much wrong overall. I think the majority are being unkind to the lad on here to be honest, i would have seen him a fair bit as well.

Neiler, this feller has zero European profile outrside of Austria. It's just not right to say he has. He has two goals in 17 games for Croatia. He is not an £8M player (which given your formula with add ons he'd cost Everton eventally). As I said. £2-3M punt = no problem. Breaking the bank for a no paced striker = madness.

As for Fletcher and the other feller - how much did they go for? I'm not saying the Scottish league cant tip up some decent journeymen (it can) but there's no superstars there you'd pay good money for. I still cant believe how that Russian club paid big money for McGeady, tbh. I was astonished because he's another one trick pony who can be sorted out in a good league in pretty short order.

I'd hate to see him when he switches off then mate.

We don't owe any money from the Michael Ball transfer. He was paying Everton out of his own pocket to play and the club stop playing him as he was a few games away from triggering an appearance clause.

...and that, my friend, is why Everton should never do business with Rangers again. It was a shithouse trick. No doubt Everton have done it in the past with some club themselves. If they have, I'd expect that club never to want to do business with Everton ever again. It's a deplorable practice.

You don't have to tell me, the way we conduct our business in the transfer market is pathetic. One man to blame for it all, David Murray.
