First defeat of the season for Widnes yesterday, 1-0 away at Trafford in a game where Widnes hit the post 4 times and had 3 cleared off the line. If ever you could describe a game as “one of them”.

Nantwich were well beaten by Wythenshawe 2-1. The manager kept them out on the pitch at full time and was properly scathing in his comments after the match.
Two very poor goals conceded with GK and CB not communicating.

Buxton is a swine to get to, depending on which way you go.

It`s better to get this fixture out of the way now, as going over those passes to get there in the Winter, can be pretty hairy.

Can't say I'm thriller about Oxford and King's Lynn in January though.

I live in Waterloo now so I try and go to Marine games every now and then. They got promoted for to National League North but have had a poor start with only 1 point from 4 games. Looks like it'll be tough year for them but hopefully they can stay up. Everton, that.

And as you probably know you’ve got one less defender with Nathan Koehler returning to Cables , but I assume he wasn’t playing.

Bath City v Hampton and Richmond in NLS for me this afternoon. Play off QF last year, injury hit Bath who also lost 3 key players to rivals Torquay in the summer have made a middling start with 4 points from 4 games. Up the Romans!

Nice bounce back today for Widnes, a comfortable 2-0 home win against City of Liverpool.

Result of the day in NPL West goes to Vauxhall Motors though. 3-0 down after 15 minutes away to high flying Bootle, and they ended up turning it around to win 6-3! Unbelievable collapse from Bootle really, no idea what happened there.

Runcorn Linnets also started the season terribly, battered 4-0 by Witton Albion only 2 days after a 6-2 home defeat to Hednesford. Only 2 points from their opening 4 games, after finishing 3rd last season.
