Non League Football

Whewwww!

Marine comfortably beat Buxton 2-1, to claim first win at National League level.

A brilliant, brilliant, brilliant day. Roll on Leamington!

Thought the manager got it spot on yesterday Barney. Start of the second half they had us on the ropes a bit, and the lad they brought on on the left wing at half time was causing us a lot of problems. Bringing on Scott Butler put an end to that though..

Spoke to Neil last night and told him the same thing, we showed promise against King's Lynn.

But Holmes took the goals well, and the new lad Joe Mattock looks excellent.

Sacked off the usual 560 mile round trip to Goodison today to take in a weekend of local non-league football.

First up, a much shorter 2 mile trip for an FA Cup first round qualifier between my home club Lowestoft Town, and Potters Bar (both level 7).

Up the Trawler Boys!

On the plus side, Lowestoft cruised to a 6-2 win in the FA Cup.

You’re all still thinking of the Everton result aren’t you?

I went there years ago. I remember a really old but charming main stand. That's about it.
