Non League Football

Great Day out Maghull.

£5 in. Neptune on tap (and not a rip off) and usually have some good food choices (Scouse & Salt & Pepper Chicken were on for the Widnes game).

It's growing, the ground is getting better and the crowd are all nice enough. I think they get about 200 a game.
Well kick me down and call me a wool, I never knew I had a footy club on me door step.

Went to Hereford yesterday.
Worst football experience I've had in a long time, and I've been to some dodgy places to watch football.

Lost 4-0 too, which didn't help.

But no toilets, food or drink in away end. Had to cross into home section.

Farcical.

Why was it segregated?

All Hereford games are.

Stewards were needlessly over zealous too.

"You can't stand there", but could stand a foot away.

Sometimes when you get ex-Football League sides, you get treated as if you're going to be trouble.
At Kidderminster we got penned into a corner to drink warm ale, but they actually were fine, just some bizarre rules.

But £20 for no facilities, and to be treated appalling isn't for me.

Sounds appalling and I particularly hate enforced segregation. One of my favourite things about non league is the mingling between rival fans.

It was really disappointing to be honest. One of the games I was really excited for, at start of season, and probably the worst stadium ever visited.

Few locals before hand giving the old "sign on" and robbing jokes which I had to politely remind them was inappropriate.
Just won't be rushing back.

It was on my list of places to go, mainly because it looked handy for the station, I think I’ll give it a miss.

Location wise - spot on.

Got the train in just over 2 hours - you go right past Shrewsbury's ground.

But thought it'd have that nostalgic feel to it, in the same way Goodison does. It was disgraceful.

The absolute basic I ask for from visiting a stadium is to be treated like a human being.

My friend who came as a neutral ventured down to terrace (you have to, to visit the toilet) and the Hereford fans had to stop him being ejected "You scousers belong upstairs".

Not for Me. Complaint is in.
