….i’d guess it’s a mobile canteen for the bus crews. St John’s Gardens was probably a bus terminus back then.

Really showing my age here but I remember that vehicle. It was a cafeteria bus, it used to park there at Old Haymarket and the bus crews used it for refreshments in between journeys.

The first Woolworths - the only building they ever owned the rest were on a lease all over the UK - hence led to its downfall sadly when times got hard a decade ago or so -
