First job after leaving school was in here… Wells Kelo, we used to make garden gym play sets, dolls prams and loads of other stuff. Great place to work back then. Knocked down now and replaced by a new street of houses and flats

Anyway: my options were; go back to Speke. Sit in the Red Lion or go to the bingo...which was licensed
Having never been to the bingo I went there.
The both got the full 6 card deal...I just got the one...you have to concentrate with 6 because every number is on there...only one card wins I said, who needs 6?

The licensee of the Red Lion was a good family friend mate.
