We've gone 5 games without scoring. No forward has scored a goal from open play all season. When his brain is in gear he can make a real impact. Contract to the end of the season incentivised for number of goals he gets and how many points we get / where we finish? In the absence of anything else......?

that's pretty appaling. put some money on that happening next gameweek.

Austin supposedly on 100 grand a week
Ridiculous if true. Looked a more than capable striker in his one season in the Prem (18 goals in 35 games), but it's still only one season in the PL.

I'm not saying he will be, however he could turn out to be another 'flash-in-the-pan' top flight striker. To offer him £100k a week is a gamble.

Before his move to Sutton there appeared very little interest from Premier League clubs, which started to bring about doubts in the press.

The London Evening Standard are reporting that Newcastle United are ready to increase their bid for Andros Townsend after Tottenham made it clear they would reject a proposed £10.5m offer for the England winger.

£10.5m???

For a fella who is a massive one-footed one-trick pony. Honestly, @Yid4life how does Levy manage to get away with it all the time?

I mean I get that Newcastle massively overpaid for Shelvey, but he's much more capable than Townsend.

He's nowhere near £100k.
That story came from a tweet by West hams david gold, which he has now backtracked on.
Saints went up to £80k for Osvaldo, and totally learned their lesson on that deal.
