Hasn't signed his new contract yet. Vote of confidence - should say no confidence - is coming for the board. Utterly dire situation on and off the pitch.

god i hope they crumble, been annoying this utter fap fest they've had over the last few years. messi and a couple of others deserved it, but most are just horrible human beings. They deserve to drop like a stone for offering such stupid amounts for a player who doesn't even get close to a premier league best XI.

I do wonder what will happen in Spain if they do crumble?

Will it just be the two Madrid sides battling it out, or will it be a great chance for a team like Sevilla to step up and fill the void?

Interesting times ahead

Barca will always be fine because they produce so many good players from their youth set up, but they might be out of title contention for a while

It might be good for the Spanish game in all honesty, especially if another side can step up

sadly i think messi and iniesta will sign and they'll be alright. It's just the standard of player they're going after. Countinho? Paulinho? Just woeful business, it's a massive downgrade on the likes they've been buying in the last 10 years. Would really like for them to go down to mid-table togger like they were when i was growing up.

BRIGHTON EYE JOVETIC?

Brighton are preparing a move for Inter Milan forward Stevan Jovetic, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 27-year-old, who previously played for Manchester City, has struggled for regular game time with the Serie A side and his preferred move to Sevilla did not go through

coup???

Put a bid in and then tell Brighton we'll back off if they let us have The Duffmeister back ;)

(This is a joke btw. I feel I have to point that out)

So a huge developing story here... Sky in Italy are reporting that PSG close to agreeing £128m plus Lucas Moura deal for Monaco's Kylian Mbappe.

They also say PSG also looking to sign Fabinho from Monaco - and the total deal for him and Mbappe would be worth an incredible £201m!

LEMAR MOVE BACK ON?

Arsenal have apparently been given fresh hope that they could sign Thomas Lemar from Moncao.

The Ligue 1 champions have seemed reluctant to sell Lemar this summer, but French outlet Le 10 Sport say they could now be willing to sanction his departure.

It's a bit sad that monaco have one good season and get utterly decimated by bigger clubs, but imagine if all these players were just a one season wonder like leicester. What will they have sold?

Mendy £52m
bernado £45m
Bakayoko £35m

and then maybe Mbappe for £130m
Fabinho for £75m
Lemar for £45m

They'll be approaching £400m of incomings of fees based on a solitary good season - crazy business.
