... and City spend another 30m.

Hard not to be incredibly jealous. How on Earth did they get so lucky? They were absolutely nobodies less than 10 years ago. Now the richest team in the world with a free public-funded stadium and throwing hundreds of millions at players year after year.

Sickening, but can see why Guardiola went there now, to play his very own real-life game of Football Manager. 50m for Stones I'd guess within the next 2 weeks, probably another couple of 30m players, and absolutely no need for them to even sell players to balance the books.

No chance (apart from agent) Pogba will be amazing in the prem. Best buy so far this summer by a long way.

Carlton Pogba is still not the finished article and I'm not exactly sure he's what they need. Great signing for winning arguments on the internet, great for attracting more glory hunting foreign fans. He might not be so great when it comes to helping them win the league.

Does that make you nobodies now?

The stadium isn't free btw, not by a long shot. We gave the council Maine rd in return and we paid for the conversion into a football stadium from an athletics stadium. We also pay rent of around £4M a year to the council. It was a good deal for us and a good deal for the council.
The club made a small profit when the last accounts were announced. The new accounts are due out and I expect the profits to be somewhere north of £50M for the year.

You can see why stones wants to join pep, they are buying the best young players in the game.

Pritchard from Spurs to Norwich. £8mn
Some of the Championship prices are starting to look silly. I can't say I know much about the lad, but £8m seems a lot for a Championship player.

Look at Villa signing Ross McCormack for between £12m and £14m: no top level experience; hasn't got a team promoted and that kind of fee.

Makes me wonder why we haven't been able to offload Niasse to someone in the Championship for a fair few kid if they're that stupid.

To be fair their transfer policy is quite good again this summer. Signing younger players who most have not come across before but if they are hits then they will prove to be bargains in the long run. Only really stones will be the pricey one for them this summer, but they can move a few on.

It is a bit mad but they have invested so much money off the pitch as well. They own 2 other clubs as well ffs! As much as you can resent them just be thankful it isn't Liverpool who got them owners.

yep, i mean it's sensible when you have a bottomless pit of cash, spend £200m on 4 youngsters and you'll reap the rewards in about 8 years time .... when they could have been bought in their prime for the same amount. Why on earth are city worrying about buying potential?

Just wait until the porno boys sell West Ham.

Then you can fume more.

They have even had to include the word 'London' on their new badge on the kit so the brand gets noticed more, ready for selling.
