Papa Shango
Player Valuation: £70m
I'd say he has some footballing ones that are keeping him from the team.
Maybe so. This doesnt alter the fact that not everything is about money.

I think the point of my conjecture was that Koeman has deliberately flagged him as player who has been fraudulently traded for far more than he is worth rather than tacitly condone it by pretending he's actually a top class player. How do you do that by practically calling him worthless and therefore putting off potential suitors?

Very righteous of him. Unfortunately, that's the quickest way of losing this club about £6m from his sale price. Maybe they can take it off Koemans wages and let him take the hit?I think the point of my conjecture was that Koeman has deliberately flagged him as player who has been fraudulently traded for far more than he is worth rather than tacitly condone it by pretending he's actually a top class player.
True. I suppose I'm still searching for how such a dubious transfer came about in the first place. We live in an age where footballers are owned and traded by syndicates like racehorses. Ironic that after Bosman allowed footballers to break free of the tyranny of club ownership, many willingly sell themselves into the servitude of dodgy businessmen. It's probably inevitable that questionable deals occur. I wonder how long it is before the regulars at 'The Dog And Duck' form a syndicate to invest in the ownership of a promising young African or South American footballer , in the hope he will make them rich?Very righteous of him. Oh absolutely. He turns out for the u23s and refuses any offers and we can't do jack. He's got a great deal in a great country and he's not going to jeopardize that. He's going to sponge that wage off us for 4 seasons isn't he?

He can't use the bogs lads FFS!?Humiliated in the media by his manager, made to play with the U23s, denied access to basic facilities.
As I said, he gets well paid for it and no one is suggesting Amnesty International need to step in. But what I and others feel is that it's snide behaviour and below the standards of this club. It is.
Difference is if I'm terrible at my job I get sacked, not paid for the next several years doing clerical work because I want a job at Google insteadMate, if your gaffer singled you out like that you'd be up in arms as we all would.
I'd rather see Dowell or even McAleny, Tarashaj or Henen get a game than this jokeKoenman obviously didn't want Niasse and tried to force Niasse's hand by telling him that he'll never play for us in preseason. Niasse said he'd rather stay here anyway so its just 2 sides hunkering down. I think Koenman has to realize that Niasse plays a position that we are really thin at and the best way now to get rid of him would be to play him a bit. Any striker who goes on a nice little 3-4 week run is almost always suddenly valuable. We could easily get back 5-8M for him (his wages aren't obscene for a striker doesn't Naismith make about the same at Norwich?) that way instead we seem to be inclined to take the Balotelli route in which we are going to basically pay another club to take him off us.
I don't know what kind of player Niasse is. I mean he did walk into a side that was already in the beginnings of open revolt against the manager and then started the season with a manager who obviously had no plans for him. His only chance here was to come in and immediately light the prem on fire (something even a player like Carlos Tevez couldn't do) I also can't see any situtation in which Niasse is a worse option than Valencia.
