Oumar Niasse

Could it be because he doesn't feel Niasse is in shape? Didn't Geri fall out of favor for the first half of the season for the same reason? Koeman seems to have a problem with laziness, so that wouldn't be too far fetched

Dunno. He basically said he could score a hat trick every week for the u23's and still never get into the 1st team as it's 'too hard to go back' or something along those lines.

Hates him.

We got a result and honestly could have won the game. Niasse was neither effective nor helped us get a result in the first team. Koeman did what he could with the tools that he had. We do not have a consistent creative spark behind Lukaku, and Barry is not quick enough to close down a team like City. Counter attacking is what is working in world football right now. Niasse couldn't stand on his own to feet so how would he work in Koeman's system? He still has to prove he can influence a league game.

Got us a point out of the game which is more than most would have hoped/expected?
This exact approach ultimately cost Moyes his job, and now because some Dutch bloke who could hit a ball dead hard does it and he's considered a genius. You couldn't make it up.

If certain members of Everton FC had done their job properly over the summer, we'd have signed 2 'Premier League' quality strikers and this thread would have been relegated to the vaults

One would have done. Would be hard to get another two players in to generally sit on the bench. That's the problem really. We only play one proper striker and he is one of the best around who will be playing every week if available. So you are probably looking at an up and comer or someone who is playing abroad who fancies a crack over here.

A Troy Deeney (just plucking a decent random premier league ready striker out of the air) probably aint jumping at the chance to sit on our bench right now.

The City game was one game - don't think anyone who has commented on your post has suggested that we do that every game. and I don't think Ron is doing that so far. There are different tactics that can be used for different games. Sticking doggedly to a single approach is what may lose you your job in this game. Using different styles, tactics and then having the wherewithal to make sure you get something shows some promise compared to some of the tripe we had to put up with in recent years.

Nobody considered him a genius. If Moyes was lucky enough to ever have a Lukaku, he would have had more top four appearances. Winning football isn't always pretty; Mourinho didn't win those titles because of pretty football. Get another player with Barry's composure that can close down and a creator that doesn't cost the team with his inconsistency, and he will be able to play more expansive football. As good as Barry is, he will always have to play deep against the pacier sides.

When he was asked in that press conference just he was very short with his answers. Hates him.
He doesn't hate him - Ron K has nothing but benevolent pity for those unable to play football.

What he hates, as anyone would, is being pestered with the same question 100 times after he's made an absolutely unequivocal statement on the matter.
Not often you get a manager saying HE HAS NO FUTURE HERE, HE NEEDS TO LEAVE. And he's getting plagued by children saying 'But Ron, but Ron, what about Niasse? He scored three for the under 18s' Did he not just spell it out with total clarity?

I reckon he does hate him. And also hates the questions.

A double hate if you will.
