Panorama to question ownership of Everton

I was just wondering, how much did Mosh pay for his stake in EFC? And how much was he worth at the time?

My understanding is that issue revolves around him using money given to him by Usmanov to do the deal, but what if he put that
in his pocket and paid for his share of EFC from other sources?

I gather from reading the past few pages that he's been cleared. I haven't found out how, yet, but back to my question - what if?

I often wonder what would happen if you found yourself to be in possession of a forged banknote, given to you in change in a shop or pub.

Say a tenner.

And you brought it to a bank or even to Plod.

Would you be given a proper tenner in its place......or would you be patted on the head for doing your civic duty and be expected to go to the loss of it yourself
No you are at loss of the tenner

i know this but panorama trying to make out we are breaking the law is false, no laws have been broken and it is highly irresponsible to portray the story in the way they did, who owns everton and arsenal has nothing to do with tax dodging

To be honest both programmes tried to show wrong doing in a number of different ways but everything shown was proven to be legal and following the regulations. It was so poorly presented with so many errors that all claims made are easily dismissed.

It was hardly ground breaking stuff, just the usual stuff about off shore shell companies moving money around.

I'd be more surprised if Russian billionaires weren't doing this tbh
I would hazard a guess that every billionaire does this as well as most multi millionaires
You don’t become mega rich by paying every penny in tax that you should.

Only from watching crime dramas
I am under the impression that if a bank can prove that you have or have received in the past , money stolen from them then it can be claimed back
Stolen artwork , sold to an unsuspecting buyer who bought it in good faith is still legally owned by the person from whom it was stolen from

The answer is yes or if they've been paid out, the insurance company.

Stolen goods always remain stolen goods, no matter how many hands they pass through "legally ".

The people who buy or receive stolen property in good faith won't get done, if they can prove that they bought them in good faith.

However the goods will always be owned in the eyes of the law, by the person who originally had them stolen from them.

Art is a good example, as is stolen / ringed cars.

It's very bizarre they're just going on about connections... well of course they have connections they are business partners you meffs!

Of course they are going to use companies and accountant and associates they know and have used before.

As said earlier, even the main story is a non story. It's completely legal, if our tax system wasn't crap this sort of thing wouldn't happen. But it will happen though because MPs do the same, their friends do the same and big donors do the same.
Even the queen does it

Not one single government has ever had the stones to tackle it and never will.

There's too many fingers in too many pies for it to be wiped out.

They pay lip service every now and again, then big companies / individuals threaten to relocate out of the country and it quietly goes away again.

It's the British way of dealing with things.

Moshiri handled panorama very well, gave nothing away that they could hang anything on. All centred around the transfer of shares years back which Moshiri ultimately sold back to Usmanov to finance the purchase of Everton shares. Panorama maintained that this represented Usmanov putting money into Everton - load of tosh. Then harped on about Bridgewaters in IOM owned by Usmanov and that firm were advisors to true Blue Holdings and there fore Usmanov had a connection to EFC. Rubbish imo. So as stated before by me much ado about nothing. Panorama did not prove at all that Usmanov had any control, influence or put money into Everton.

...sometimes these cases pick up steam.

Hold on to your hat would be my advice.

The links between us and Usmanov look obvious to anyone with a couple of brain cells to rub together. It WILL be scrutinised further.
of course the links are obvious
It’s been stated on here numerous times that if Usmanov can’t get control of Arsenal he will sell up and more than likely buy Everton.
That’s been blindingly obvious from day one.
Why did Moshiri only buy 49% of the club.
He is merely paving the way.
The Liver building purchase is just Moshiri getting Usmanovs office for the Liverpool waters scheme in place.
However these lads didn’t become billionaires by making uninformed decisions on a whim.
There was always a long term plan A and a Plan B C and probably D as well

Don't tell Kooeman about how people have plan b,c,d it will confuse him no end

Not sure I follow your logic there. When Moshiri got control of Everton there was never any mention of a stadium in the docks, that only came about this year. So if Usmanov was helping his friend did he have foresight back last year to see a link to Liverpool Waters. Next you will be saying it is actually Usmanov that owns the Liver Building.
If you think that the Liverpool waters scheme is not the end game then there’s nothing more to say
The whole world knew we were looking to build a new stadium and have had 3/4 failed attempts including one at Kings dock.
Billionaires like Moshiri and Usmanov have contacts and sources all over the world and seen the opportunity to make money from Everton and the Docks
If we get a brand new stadium out of it well that’s our good luck
I can tell you one thing for certain if that fraudster Kenwright and Suntan Bob were still in charge we would never have got a new stadium.
Moshiri / Usmanov are rich enough and powerful enough to make sure it happens.

Ronald: Erwin... what is a plan? Why do people keep mentioning it?
Erwin: Don't know, 8 or 9 iron?
Ronald: Ha ha ha, always a number 10 Erwin.
Erwin: We have no such thing as a number 10
Ronald: That's what I kept telling Walsh and then he went out and bought a player we didn't need.
Erwin: Ronald, I think I know where we went wrong.

Everyone seems to keep saying Usmanov will be coming due to Liverpool waters, i don't see why though.

People are putting 2 + 2 together and getting 5.

Non-story unless you can prove Usmanov is using Moshiri as a proxy. Even so, no law in the land had been broken, and at most you can go to CAS to find out if any rule is broken, and the most severe effect will be to bar certain people from owning clubs.
