Phil Jagielka

I know mate but, it's swings and roundabouts because, on a different thread I agree with his views on Ross.
Footie eh, players can make fools out of all of us.
I don't value his opinion on anything Everton related tbh. As he nails his colours to the mast and then is seemingly incapable of backing down or conceding irrespective of how daft his view becomes over time. He just blindly ploughs on altering the angle of attack in the vain hope his view will eventually be vindicated. He shares this character trait with his fanboy idol strangely enough.....

OK, I get that RK wanted Kone and for whatever reason (Jags not being one of them), he didn't arrive but, Koeman has sort of made clear what players he doesn't rate.
Funes Mori is here, Holgate (has been getting lots of praise from RK) is here, Jags is being played though?
He's "captain".

To my mind Williams and Mori are more of a blend that Koeman would go for.

I don't believe Koeman would be too concerned if Jagielka weren't available for whatever reason.

You've complained about his attitude, his leadership and his skill for years.

Yet in that time Jags has been voted player of the year by both fans/teammates, picked as first choice by successive managers (including one you rated) and looks to be by a third...and long may he continue proving you wrong lol
...and in that time we've won nothing and looked vulnerable under all those managers from crosses...including this one (take a look at the West Brom goal...a shambles he was responsible for).

If he's the level you want, good luck to you. Personally I want the best in there.

Jags is yet another Everton player who appears to be re-energised under the stewardship/tutelage of a proper manager.
Barkley dragged the 'rejuvenated chain' a little on Monday, but we must forgive pockets of Wigertonisation to sporadically reappear in those players who suffered Martinez's mismanagement the past 3 seasons.

Your boring and one eyed agenda against Jags is stopping you from admitting that - yet again - he's making you eat your words so far this season

He's here because Koeman said he had absolutely no intention of selling him btw.
Think Jagielka is the best we can have?

You sell us short. He's bang average and part of our past. The truth hurts.

I did see that and wonder if it was just for the press type comment but, the evidence so far proves otherwise.
I really rate Mori but, he still has faults that under RK will be ironed out, until then Jags and Williams!

Mori is a terrible footballer David.

No surprise that we remove him from the team and we stop conceding goals.

Terrible footballer who plays for Argentina and has won a Copa Libertadores and scored in the final, and has more goals to his name last season than your "give me goals, Bolaisie, give me goals, Bolasie".

Lol.

....do you really sacrifice his goal threat to accommodate an average CB who's utterly eclipsed now by Willaims?

Not for me.

Yes.
His goals are a bonus, he's a defender that needs coaching under RK to perform at the level he could be, until then let Rom et al worry about scoring goals.
