...and in that time we've won nothing and looked vulnerable under all those managers from crosses...including this one (take a look at the West Brom goal...a shambles he was responsible for).

If he's the level you want, good luck to you. Personally I want the best in there.
Typical Davek the contrarian, we have a feel good evening (both on and off the pitch) and barely 24 hours later you are trying to stir up arguments lol

And yes, as long as Jags plays to the level he usually does I'm delighted to have him leading out our team.

lol

As a defender he's nowhere near as solid as Jags, and that's his job like.
You think VVD is that different to Mori? Koeman will look to blend his CB pair as he did at S'ton. Williams will eventually be captain and he'll either promote Mori or buy in a new CB...as he was about to this summer.

This ^

He's been sound this season so far, and since the addition of Williams we've not shipped a single goal, but Dave feels the need to plough on with his Jags agenda regardless.

yesterday I'm. pretty sure they both had their own blocking competition going on because Williams made about 3 superb blocks and I remember Jags doing 2, one in particular in the 88th minute where he absolutely hurled himself at the ball. That's a nice habit to have that, working for the clean sheet let alone the 3 points.

It's a joy to see. Personally speaking these type of players are my favourite above all. The art of defending is underrated by many

Think Jagielka is the best we can have?

You sell us short. He's bang average and part of our past. The truth hurts.

He's been one of the premium centrebacks in the premier league since about 2007. He's come through an ACL injury and three managers yet has managed to remain first team and captain for all of them as well as starting centreback for England in a World Cup. Your definition of 'average' is ridiculous. Every time you proclaim he's finished he just proves you wrong again. A fantastic buy by Moyes and a great premier league player for Everton.

Where was he last season then, this "fantastic buy"?

Hiding behind the couch avoiding the boos at Goodison.

Williams isn't young so he's a here and now player. I would agree with the 'blend' comment if it weren't for Kone being the player you talk about. Kone is a Jags/Williams type player not a Mori type.
So maybe RK, as he has consistently done since being here, is simply telling the truth, when he says he needs 4 CB's?
