Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Stats always need to be put in context and yeah they don’t seem awful at all but from what I’ve seen he’s mediocre.

He also doesn’t chip in with goals or assists if we are going to play 4-2-2 the CM’s have to add creativity and chip in with goals.

We still haven’t addressed this for a long time

Having an injury like Gomes sustained may take a significant amount of time to get over. There are signs and glimpses his ability is still there. The assist vs Villa is a prime example. This is the most fickle sport there is seemingly. I even think him being competitive in such a short time is short of a miracle considering the circumstances. He needs time.
I know he had bad injury mate and it will take time to get over physically and Mentally.
but look at him pre injury, he wasn’t great 5/6 very good games in 35-ish.
Some people are blinkered to some players after they’ve had a few good games.
I honestly don’t get the hype

I don't think there is hype. I just think people recognise he's a good player that will need recovery time to be at his ultimate best. No one is saying he was perfect pre injury but he was on route to levelling out consistency in my opinion.

The Athletic understands that Tottenham are frontrunners for Hojbjerg’s signature and that the player’s preference is to join the Londoners. Ajax have expressed tentative interest.
Hojbjerg is believed to want Champions League football next season, and while that won’t happen at Tottenham he is said to believe it is most likely to happen there sooner rather than later.
It leaves Everton with an uphill task to convince him to move to a club that are not guaranteed to finish above Southampton, where he has been happy but will not sign a new contract because of his burning desire for success.
It may not be Hojbjerg, but it is clear that a player of his ilk is what Ancelotti wants before anything else this summer.
And if the Everton manager’s star name is not enough to lure the 24-year-old to Merseyside, Ancelotti will waste no time finding an alternative.
He’s seen enough of Everton’s current midfield. The time to do something about it has arrived
Absolutely stinks of us offering outrageous wages to convince him this

Not for me. In 442 the 2 midfielders main job is to graft. Be aggressive, dominant and protect the back 4.

it will be job of the wide players to add goals. And both full backs to add creativity.

look at the best teams in this country, not many midfielders chip in with goals.

Just to make you aware, nobody thinks you support Everton.

You arent fooling anybody.
Only yourself
I am joining the many armchair supporters on here from 20/21. My sons will carry on the great tradition indicated by my user name, provided they are allowed back into the ground anytime soon. Overall it was an exciting 67+ years for which I am grateful.
