Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

If he has the choice of us v spurs then it is obvious where he would want to go. The only sniff we would have is if he wanted to play for Carlo, but you would have to think that is highly unlikely.

Sissoko MkII.

This is exactly the problem we will have as a bottom half of the table side. As a club we have very little attraction.
Our attraction could be our willingness to give young players the time on the field and the space to make mistakes to develop into good players. But we can't even get that right half the time.

Debuts given to 2 teenagers in the last month alone.

Calvert Lewin 100 games, Tom Davies 100 games, Mason Holgate 65 games.

Boo hoo, we never played Lookman cos he's pony.

Southampton were 7 points ahead of 18th when the restart happened and they had 6 clubs below them by at least 5 points. They weren't in a relegation battle. In fact they had 34 points which might end up being more than what the team that goes down in 18th finishes the season with.
I think we're talking about two different time periods?

I'm talking about before Christmas when they were in the bottom 3, Southampton were close to sacking their manager and Hojbjerg was dropped back then.

You're talking about after the restart, we're both on different pages.

We were except I also have no idea what you're talking about now because Hojbjerg missed one game between the season starting and the shutdown.

He was only dropped again around the time all of this happened.

Point being at no point was Southampton in relegation danger and Hojbjerg jumping ship.

I know you don't get it you didn't have to tell me again.

What don't I get?

I was always saying we should play Lookman and Vlasic, the fact is it didn't work for them.

You implied players wouldn't come here cos we don't give yoot a chance, despite us getting praised numerous times over the years about how much we give yoot a chance.

We have 7 or 8 players in and around the first team under the age of 24.

So tell me, what don't I get?

That playing young players some and being a place that players look at and say I can go there and make it aren't that same thing. It's why top prospects go to places like Ajax and the RB cartel and not so much to Everton.

Ive explained this.

The leagues are weaker and the work permit rules more relaxed.

You act like its an Everton thing, its an England thing.

Interesting point mate, I always thought we were an attractive proposition for youth, but I’ve never thought of our reputation internationally, your right when you say we wouldn’t have the same reputation as say Ajax or Dortmund.

I wonder how we can improve this.

I think that's a really weak defense if I'm honest.

Its not even a defence, its a fact.

The Dutch, Portuguese, French to a degree, they are all stepping stone leagues.

Just like Everton is a stepping stone club.

Lukaku, Gana, Stones, we give players a platform and we pay bloody good wages.

Thats our appeal.

You mentioned Ajax, they have a wonderful academy.

The RB cartel cheats, they have 5 clubs of various levels and they send them up or down depending on how well they do.

Who else in this league does what you suggest?

I mean we literally bought Kean last summer.
