I'm all for a good goalpost teardown, court storming or pitch invasion as long as security does their jobs and everyone understands the unwritten rules with respect to when these are appropriate.

The fact that this does not happen is why we cannot have nice things.

has there ever been an actual assault or injury from our pitch invasions over the years?

safe-mode gone mad.
I think Southampton fans at the end of the FA Cup semi final in 1984 might have something to say about that…

a few years before my time that, what happened?
From my vantage point of the North Bank,Highbury there was a pitch invasion when Heath scored at the end of extra time.
At full time there was a mass pitch invasion to the halfway line and the tunnel in the main stand. Some Saints fans came from the Clock end to engage the celebrating Evertonians and there was fighting on the edge of the Saints penalty area and then the police on horseback entered the fray…then everyone in the ground went home.

nice one for the little bit of history! never a dull moment being a blue in the 80's

Fans on the pitch after the match last night wasn't good to see. It was understandable against Palace, but that should have been the end of it. I'm going to assume the ones on the pitch last night were people who missed the opportunity Vs Palace and tried to make up for it.

The FA and Premier League will be looking to make an example next season, hope these idiots realise they are going to put the club in hot water (fines/deductions) if they start doing that when the season begins.

I expected us to do that last night with it been a friendly, even though as ever people are told to not go on the pitch, game v Palace was very understandable, but we do need to stop

I just don't get the parents sending there kids on staggering that was

Adults having had a beer or 3 I can get and just shake me head and call them whatever

But the parent one just leaves ya lost for words

Worryingly, it's almost becoming the norm (acceptable) for too many of our younger fans. Most games towards the end of the season, a few went on at the end.

Look at when we scored the third against Palace - a great moment. There were people who simply ran around the pitch rather celebrating with the players.

The latter I could begrudgingly understand, but simply running around the pitch is nothing short of being a bellend. What people did last night was wrong.

Stamp it out so it's saved for the truly exceptional circumstances.

Rubbish parents who are too tight to buy the kids a shirt so rather they blag one.

In all seriousness Everton have to start baning fans who go on the pitch, zero tolerance going forward.
