I wont be invading the pitch as:

a) I'm too old to get over the barrier and back again in the same afternoon, even though its only 1 1/2 ft high
b) I dont want a stadium ban before the last game at Goodison where I will try to get on the pitch, but more importantly, i'll be bringing my spanners and dismantling my seat to take home.

It's typical Premier League fare, punish the fans but don't upset the cash cows (the clubs). I note that they say that there will be 'tougher sanctions for the clubs' but don't actually say what these are. It's just 'sabre rattling'. If they truly wanted to stop it, they would deduct points from the clubs involved. Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying that this should happen (in practice, how can a club stop an individual/group of individuals from running on the pitch - other than to erect fences, and we all know where that can lead) but don't say s**t when you have no intention of doing it!!

Aye, wait till we play a minnow away, and they knock Everton out of the FA Cup and their fans go on the pitch, it'll be 'the Magic of the FA cup'

I was on the pitch after Palace game. Imagine the club trying to ban everyone of us. That would be impossible, that said, maybe the way we've been playing we'd be queueing up to be banned!

I'm all for the smoke bombs but they shouldn't be chucked on the pitch after we score.

Utter BS over-reaction.

The 'sacrosanct' pitch is baloney. Those pitches were paid for ten times over by each and every club's fanbase down the years. If at FT at the season's end they want to celebrate a big success then let them.

Absolutely,…..I’ve still got a bit of pitch from 69/70….I know, I know…….

Someone laughed at me on here the
lol Surely not?!
'Ok, that's your 150k/week contract sorted but you'll have to buy your own kit and bring it home to wash it yourself'

The Palace game pitch invasion brought back memories of the Coventry game back in the nineties. We had come so close to going down but somehow we managed to stumble across the line and stay up on goal difference. The relieve at the final whistle that Bolton had got beaten and we stayed up felt great, but most people hoped we would never sink to having a last day escape again. 24 years on and it felt we were back to square one.

As for the smoke bombs, they`re a nuisance. A few times I found myself downwind of one after it was let off and ended up covered in blue crap and getting a mouthful of blue smoke.
