Quick loan round up before another stressful 90 minutes at the City Ground. COYBs.

Agent Maupay scored Brentford's 1st against our rivals Luton. The Bees ran out 3-1 winners with Maupay taken off in stoppage time.

A 2-0 home win for Southampton at home to Cardiff. Mason Holgate on the bench but not needed. Southampton 4th.

Lewis Warrington not even on the bench as Plymouth won 2-1 v Stoke. Plymouth rise to 16th.

Stanley Mills started and Oxford United were leading 1-0 at home to Grimsby when he was subbed off on 69 minutes. Oxford won 2-0 and go into the 3rd Round draw of the Cup.

Farsley and Forest Green games were postponed.

Harry Tyrer in FA Cup action tomorrow v Orient.

Another 90 minutes for Neal Maupay last night, but/and Brentford lost 2-1 at Brighton. Mbuemo went off with a twisted ankle in the first half and with Toney suspended until mid January he will get plenty of game time now.

Just another couple of goals from him and I can see them trying to make that deal a permanent one in Jan.

Wonder how much would mean we could break even from him?

Not a great day with Sheffield United winning and the RS possibly top of the table. Not so good for the loanees either.

Neal Maupay played the full match again which resulted in a first clean sheet of the season for Sheffield United. The Blades beat Brentford 1-0.

Lewis Warrington not in the squad again for Plymouth who were thrashed 4-0 at Leicester. He has played only 55 minutes in the Championship plus a couple of League Cup starts. Definitely needs recalling if possible. Plymouth drop to 18th.

No game time either for Mason Holgate who was left on the bench as Southampton conceded an added time equaliser at Watford. 1-1 and Saints stay 4th.

Stanley Mills was withdrawn at half time with Oxford United already losing 2-0 at Peterborough. It finished 3-0. Oxford are now 6th.

Forest Green's match v Wrexham was postponed, this time due to a waterlogged pitch. In other news they have been ordered to replay their 1st Round FA Cup match v Scarborough due to fielding an ineligible player in the original match. Apparently, the unnamed player was on loan, had permission from his parent club to play, but Forest Green hadn't sent the FA a form confirming this. Wonder who the parent club might have been...?

Harry Tyrer was rested again today as Chesterfield played their Youth Team in a 6-1 FA Trophy win v Southport.

Farsley Celtic didn't play so a rest for Zan-Luk Leban too.

Under Thelwell and James Vaughan we have become better at monitoring loans , putting on “ use him or lose him” pressure and if necessary moving them on eg Branthwaite and Onyango last season. If Warrington is not getting games , and Championship may not be is level yet, they should get him back and out again at League 1 level to get games.

…unless. it’s a Holgate scenario where the club are just content to get him off the books. We’d have to be confident of finding another club before bringing him back.
