Sam suddenly walked out on Palace - having done a top emergency job -citing stress and age and may decide to
do the same at EFC.

A friend of mine who has some ears within Bolton and some of the Lancashire clubs, and as such still has contact with Sam, said it was down to him losing a friend/family member at the MEN explosion. He wanted to spend time with his family.
No idea if it's true, but my mate usually gets correct info.

Resigned 2 days after the bombing so sounds very plausible actually.
 

He's said no one from Everton has spoken to him on talksport earlier this morning.
Don't know how much you'd read into that, normally when someone denies something in football the opposite has happened
 

I'm not sure. People are behaving as if he's an ex-RS. He's not exactly Guardiola but he's kept some truly crap teams in the Premier League and guided some truly average teams into Europe.
I'm more than willing to follow the herd and slate the man, but I need a vague outline really. Is it the England job corruption allegations?
