Possible Director of Football

I like that he said we are talking to those who have been mentioned that means we really are chasing the highest of caliber good on bill for this press release

Cross fertilisation??? Always suspected he and Elstone had a touch of Dolly the sheep about them. If Moshiri hadn't come on board we would be stuck with Martinez as them clowns saw it fit to give him a 5 yr £5m contract. The revelation from Elstone last week that it was his first time meeting RK shows how diluted his role has become.

Death by a thousand cuts

Moshiri will slowly weed these imposters out.

Oh my god.

So we had a list of 5 for potential manager and pursued Koeman. I would assume that we also have a list of4 or 5 for DoF with Monchi our main target so who else is in the frame? Overmars has been mentioned, Leonardo ex PSG is out there somewhere, Les Reed at Southamton would appear to be settled there. So if we don't get Monchi who else should we be looking at?

Said list of Sporting Directors/DoF's!

What about this fella? Has been a manager and more recently "sporting Director ".

Kenwright was apparently very impressed with him when he interviewed him for the managers position before El Fraudo got it.

He was supposedly in the running to replace Moyes, but I think it was just largely engineered or embellished in the media to make it look as if the managerial search was exhaustive at the time (clearly it wasn't).

I'm not sure what he is up to at present, he was associated with Red Bull Leipzig I think who has just been promoted to the Bundesliga, so good on him if he had a part in that.

I'm not sure that he would be suited to the cut-and-thrust of negotiating and the wider football business aspects that are required of a DOF, particularly one in the Premier League.

To be fair,

I'd rather have no DOf than one that gets the job simply because someone else hired them sometime in that role. Bit like hiring Pulis to be manager in all honesty.

Rather us either bring in a top level one who wants to come (Monchi?) or bring in a younger one with huge ambition to have a long term vision here.

Andoni Zubizarreta would be a realistic shout (Sorry if already mentioned) Former team-mate of Koeman at Barca who went on to be their Sporting Director. Has the top-level experience and would fit with Bill's shout of people Ronald has already worked with. Also, he's currently on that list posted earlier of free agents.

Looks like RK's had a big influence in landing one of his old colleagues the gig of goalkeeping coach so I presume the odds of the new DOF being Dutch have just shortened.

Possibly Overmars seeing as the Monchi chatter seems to have gone quiet.
