Possible Goodison redevelopment.

Don't get me wrong, I love the place, but the Bullens Road facade is comparable to something you'd see from a pre war industrial estate. Mainly corrugated metal sheets with a bit of brickwork. Highbury was listed because the exterior is a fine example of Art Deco architecture.

That's not the case at all. It's brick.

Would love it to stay, but if it’s not financially feasible then it will be worth scrapping. Imagine we couldn’t spend like 5 million a year on wage bills or the first team just to keep it maintenance.

The brick behind the cladding architecturally amazing though.

There is no comparison to Highbury's east/west stands where you can see why the conversion was valid and people would want to live there.

Perhaps. But you have to look a bit closer.

Would the football world, not just Evertonians, like a special piece of history to be kept? I think there's more architectural value in saving the Bullens, it's not just a brick and iron building from the 1920's. Having said that - that alone should be a reason to preserve it. A football stand from the 1920's.
There's many features inside and of course the Archibald Leitch criss cross.

I think it's a great idea to preserve and keep a massive part of the clubs history. It's exactly what I said to my blue mates to keep Goodison for the women and maybe our u 21s, u18s etc.

Would hate to see the patch of land become a housing estate or shopping shopping precinct.

Think Friedkins may be more interested in their own version of Walton Lane development as a bigger building surely creates more business opportunities that a charity type of a project.

Park End demolition with a much smaller stand as a replacement would bring even more space to use for a development in that area of stadium.

The main issue in redevelopment would be replacing the main stand with something smaller and way more sustainable. Gwladys and Bullens are possibly fine for some time being as the main part of a smaller Goodison.

The cheapest option I would imagine is to knock everything down apart from the park end. Not a lot of money in women’s football atm and that 1 stand doubles their current capacity.
Rebuilding or renovating the Main Stand, Bullens or Gwladys street end would be prohibitively expensive.
