There are loads of managers out there to be fair. Just because people dont know them or think about them doesnt mean they aint there.

Exactly. This guy is the joint top 11th best paid manager in the World. Only 5 clubs outside England pay their managers more than we do. Why couldn't we attract a manager who's tearing it up in France or Russia or Spain?

Villa are in a much worse position than we are and picked up one of the best young managers in the country.

Moyes is on more than twice the wage of the man who just won the league with Juventus with a team who'd finished 8th the previous year and without losing a single match.

Far more logical things to blame than Moyes. But hey, if you don't like the guy, you never will, and nothing he does will change your opinion.

I used to love the guy but the things he has done has changed my opinion.

I'll be honest, not really sure how to respond to this. There are loads of central defenders out there I've never heard of, but I don't want them playing for Everton.

Obviously I dont know your point of reference but had you heard of Fellaini before he played for us? Actually probably as he played well against Liverpool that season but you get my point?

Two times European cup winner Ottmar Hitzfeld for example. Or Bob Houghton. Or Jacques Santini. Or Héctor Cúper.

Two times European cup winner Ottmar Hitzfeld for example. Or Bob Houghton. Or Jacques Santini. Or Héctor Cúper.

And have any of them worked with a 3m Net a Season budget?

I don't think it's narrow minded to not jeopardize our standing in the league for some unknown, when we have a known entity. We're not Villa coming off a relegation-threatened season after spending into oblivion.

Point being, I think it's very difficult to argue someone else could break us into the top 4 given the financial constraints. All of the clubs consistently above us spend more by a multiplier of 3 to 10. But it's fairly easy to argue that someone else could get us relegated.

Treading water is the reality of the situation this board has us in. I think some people get bored with that and want to nitpick other issues to death, when we all know what the issue is facing us.

One of my fave current managers is Hitzfeld. Him and Zdenek Zeman who has just moved from Serie B Pescara to Roma.

Every new manager is a risk of course and I do think Moyes does a good job, not brilliant but very good. But for people to worry about their being nobody out there who could do a job for us other than Moyes is a bit silly really.

Question is pretty easily answered. Look at the spending budget. There is your answer.

Yeah fair enough, I agree with most of that. I do think too much stock is put in to money though. If we could start a season how we end a season we could be well up there. I think our squad is really good but we always get off to terrible starts and I do think that is down to Moyes.
