Not sure if this has been mentioned but Swansea are on the verge of appointing Michael Laudrup. That's a fairly big name so imagine what Everton could also attract in the event we need to appoint a new manager. We know what big-name players can do for a club, imagine what effect a big-name manager could give to Everton for a long period to come.
We also have the likes of Duffy and Barkley coming through, and apparently some other very good youngsters. What could another manager do? Yes things might change for the worst for a while, but things might get better too. Would another manager begin building around these players? Would Everton suddenly see Jelavic playing with a partner and attacking teams for 90 minutes?
If Spurs do sound out Moyes, Everton have to know what they want. If we let him talk to them and he doesn't take the job, what effect will that have on the Everton players?
I think Everton would refuse permission - but does Moyes want to extend his contract? Does he think it's a good time to leave? Kenwright can't exactly promise him money without sales. Moyes won't want to lose his big players but does he have a choice?
I feel for Moyes despite not being in love with him like most.
I think Spurs WILL consider Moyes but even listening to the radio this morning it's clear their fans prefer even Martinez simply because he has a reputation for sending his teams out to play good football.
Going to be interesting!
Also feel the need to point out we are not a mid-table club under Moyes, as people keep saying. We are top 8.
My prediction is Moyes stays but Fellaini is sacrificed to help bring in some new faces (if you can call Donovan or Pienaar new faces).
