There's absolutely nothing O'Keefe won't write to stay in favour is there?

He has the integrity of a fart bubble

journalist who likes manager writes article extolling his virtues , I won’t be convinced until someone as independent as Balague tells us if it’s a decent acquisition.

In all seriousness Hope it’s true , I hope he’s the managerial genius that Napoli and Madrid fans failed to recognise .

Benitez is a Liverpool man not Liverpool FC man, loves the city and the people. He's been all over the world and could settle anywhere yet he and his family chose Liverpool, If I were an Evertonian I'd be buzzing, he'll get the best from players and have Everton in the Champions league before his job is done!
I'll ignore the propaganda from the rs supporting pro Benitez cheerleaders, and base my opinion on the man, who once called Everton a small club on the performances and results.

I seem to remember James McCarthy saying when Martinez came in that he was so good tactically it was like having a 12th player on the pitch!!!!

A few hollow words by his journalist mates and people are creaming themselves over how he's our saviour!

Are you forgetting he's spent the last 5 years at the barcodes and in that well known football hotspot of China. Why has no top (or mid-range) club touched him in that time?
All I am hearing on this forum is, 'he's our manager now theres nothing we can do about it ffs get behind him'

that is no endorsement whatsoever.

you then have the likes of @davek who if you check his posting history is a barrage of bile and vitriol against the waiter - yet suddenly everything is forgotten once he walks through the doors?

It appeals to me after having two lazy unmotivated men like Koeman and Ancelotti as manager to have a driven man in the dugout.

If he's given a chance, and the players respond, we stand a fair chance with him in charge. He'll have to do it in months though. That's the biggest issue.
Bet you're delighted at the involvement of Baines and Ferguson too.

Yes Benitez has hit the ground running.

Every manager I can remember has been abysmal at in-game changes so this has the potential to be genuinely exciting if true. Obviously we could do with a decent player or two on the bench but hopefully that’s sorted this summer.
Not in-game but Martinez rocked that Arsenal game when he put Lukaku on the right of a front three for a 3-0 victory. "Bring on the good times" I thought to myself.

As the legendary Spanish journalist Guillem Balagué said today:

“In Spain when we say ‘small club’ we mean a club that comes to defend, a club that does not come to win. Mr Benitez knows what a big club Everton is in terms of history. The Everton fans are sensible and will get behind him.”
Guillem Ballbag is a small journalist.

And in England when we say, "small journalist", we mean an absolute waste of space whose made a living off being able to repeat rumours in English with a Spanish accent.

You could set a timer for when Moyes and Martinez would make changes and it was predictable. Silva's substitutions were clueless with a gung-ho mentality.

Yeah and as much as I disagree with David on most issues he's shown that he's a true Everton fan by putting his dislike (and we all disliked him and not for footie reasons) for Benitez aside because he's convinced that he'll do a job. If anything he's consistent.
