if you're that dead against him, aren't you better cutting Everton til he's gone, otherwise you're going to spend the next two years celebrating the defeats and consoling yourself after the wins.

Its probably a battle of the egos between the two of them.
While James is still on the payroll and is fit then he should be in or around the first team IMO

Nobody is celebrating defeats though Kev, FSW is not Everton football club, I know it’s hard for you to grasp, seeing as you seem to be swallowing everything the media is throwing at you regarding how he’s the greatest ever manager to walk the planet.

But we can easily enjoy Everton, its players and wins without cornholing and acknowledging him

I find him eminently objectionable.

I do not like his face and the weasel words that come out of his face.
I do not like that he told our best player to sod off before a ball had been stuck
I do not like the facht! we have chosen to start season with no cover at Left or Right back (made worse by Shameless Goalman's immediate injury)
I do not like that he has turned some levelheaded Evertonians in to screaming rabid Kopites, but I suppose that is what you get when you hire a kopite.
I do not like his sneer.

But apart from that, what do you think.

If he's being a clown then the manager is right to drop him to be fair. Sends out the right message. I'd rather he was happy and playing though.

Rodriguez takes a very large slice of the wage bill which Benitez would probably quite like to use elsewhere. As long as there's a window open somewhere it looks like Rodriguez is in the "Bomb Squad" to try and get him to consider less attractive deals and make it clear to suitors that there is a deal to be done.

There's every chance Rodriguez can see the reasoning behind it and continue to be professional without rocking the apple cart. That doesn't mean he's gonna jump at the first deal put on the table but I can't see why it's perceived by some that he must be a sulking petulant brat.

No mate I'm not saying he has to outperform anyone really, im saying he cant be using his lack of budget to complain when he knew what he was signing up to.
I actually dont think he will but some on here will use that as their defence for Benitez.

For some people if we finish in Europe it will be 'what a manager' but the same people will say if we finish 16th 'Look at the budget he had' so in some peoples eyes he cant lose.

He can't lose. And if these gang of gobshiets get relegated I want no one else but Benitez to expell most of them and get us back into the prem.

it seems to me what you're attempting is an impossible task. To separate out the club from the manager. The manager decides every aspect of what happens at the club. The net effect is your time following Everton whilst he is here is spent finding fault with every aspect of what happens.

ATM taking it easy in the sun on a friends yacht who is also an associate agent Mendes, how do we know if he is fit?

JR is going to be gone from Everton at the end of the season anyway, why would he not go to Turkey , earn the same money and enjoy the sun and sea ?
Everton will end up paying some of his salary for the next number of months in any event even if he goes to Turkey and that is probably the league , or type of league that needs to go to if he is going to prolong his career.
It does seem that none of the clubs in the other European leagues want him.

We don't know, but if he is fit and he's gone without consent then surely that's a case for breach of contract and can be sacked so to speak.
I'm sure the club would love that scenario so they can get him off the payroll.

Losing Voldemort of the Fjords has been addition by subtraction. One, he doesn’t fit in RB’s formation. Two, he doesn’t play like the guys who are now driving the attack, Gray, Townsend Doucoure etc. This “get the ball forward ASAP” thing is alien to him, he’s more of a “ping the ball sideways and hope to thread a perfect pass once in awhile” guy. Three, everyone is now tasked with being a two-way player and they’re at it with gusto, I’m still buzzing from the way we swarmed Brighton’s attackers every time they touched the ball. Someone who just points at the attacker while jogging complacently nearby is not needed in that scheme.

If James can’t be shoehorned into RB’s plan, the pale imitation thereof surely has no place.

Better off without him.

He could play in LC games and be used for set pieces.
