So better to have someone like Nuno with no real track record in management? It’s not odd at all. All three were either close to or over a decade ago. They’re irrelevant. Football has moved on significantly and there is NOTHING in his recent employments to suggest he has moved with it.
Howard Kendall had incredible pedigree. Bringing him back for a third spell was an act of lunacy/desperation. And that was with a manager who the fans were predisposed to love.
What a manager did a decade ago means vastly less (if it means anything at all) than what they’ve done recently.
Newcastle wasn’t that long ago, you’re right. So better to have someone like Nuno with no real track record in management?
Newcastle was not that long ago
I’m not saying Benitez is perfect obviously but what / who else is the solution then?
Sometimes you have to be realistic about your position and do the best you can with what’s available - it’s good that the fans have high expectations but need to balance with some realism

I don’t know where our next win is going to come from and that’s the worrying thing. It’s that bad I wouldn’t put money on us beating Newcastle or Norwich in our next run of games.
You say Newcastle wasn’t that long ago as if he did well there. So better to have someone like Nuno with no real track record in management?

Surely it was more than that, I’m sure I heated Benitez saying we had control of the game. Except the bit where they scored 3 times and we scored once like.It was 38% posession but still awful.
Eh?Try typing his name, and reflect on the result
This makes no sense?Try typing his name, and reflect on the result
OK - you’ve exposed yourself hereNewcastle wasn’t that long ago, you’re right.
He got relegated.
Sad isnt it 2 Everton men leading their teams for a champions league spot. 1 a young exciting manager with a young exciting team and 1 serial overachiever and team rebuilder whilst we're stuck looking down the table with a piece ofshit rs manager.Remember when we were laughing at Arsenal when Arteta went there........ ?
Ahh, so you’re fine with him getting us relegated, so long as he gets us promoted again?OK - you’ve exposed yourself here
Did he not get them back up?
It seems your underlying drive is emotional - the Liverpool link? Hence not taking a balanced view and looking just for negatives
That’s the problem with some of our fanbase - emotion rather than logic driven
He was popular with the Newcastle fans - have a look at this:
But that was down to individual moments what tactical masterclass did Benitez provide? And we were back to turgid against Palace. We beat Arsenal the game before last?
they won the champions league didnt they? Were last seasons Chelsea as good as this one?
