I'm agreeing with you. Won't even touch Haaland if he was free. I hope we can sell DCL for some money since no team will want a targetman. We don't need all this big tall strong and fast targetman strikers. Pfft.
You would touch Haaland if he was free. Am I reading that right.

This delay of games potentially will save benitez. If you hate him and want him gone, then covid has kept him here until the end of the season, results pending.

It means his control on the club will grow , his claws will be in every aspect around the team.

All it takes is for a few players to arrive in the next few weeks and results turn around for him to get the stay of execution for the rest of the season.

Normally this would be a great thing but selling our best players slowly and no guarantee the results will change too greatly, it may well be another Silva scenario.

So sacked by November is my guess, with another 5-6 players we need to ship out after less than a year.
Sadly, you’re probably right. Depressing the way Moshiri’s Everton operate.

Do you ever post anything that isn’t a sneer at other posters who don’t share your opinion?
You seem to add little to any discussion other than second rate sarcasm.
I await with bated breath a discursive post anaylising the current managers tactics and the reason you have faith in them,
I fear you may have a long wait.

They were awful against us. Same way they were awful against Liverpool. Around those 2 games, they have been in pretty good form.
and Chelsea. Chelsea were terrible against us. And spurs, spurs were terrible against us, they've won all their other games.

Or we play to that tactic and his ability is the only sticking point?

Would rondon from 5 years ago be as bad for us?

It's obvious we are playing to a target man and Dobbin / Simms can't play that role.
I suppose an adaptable manager might look at the problem and say to himself, “my only option as a target man is an aging, unfit, slow moving journeyman who is not capable of the job, I suppose I’ll have to change the system until I have DCL back”. As I say, that would perhaps be the thought process of an adaptable competent manager.

Chelsea controlled the game vs us and pickford got man of the match which says a lot. Great to get a point vs them to be honest and the kids worked hard and fair play to benitwz for getting a reaction from the mishmash of a squad to dig deep like they did.

Spurs was a cagey game with noone really seemingly wanting to go for it.

Just back from shopping all morning hence the delay. I don't have faith in Rafael's tactics. I believe that until the present and possibly further into the season the circumstances of awful club purchasing policy for several years combined with an injury list almost unprecedented, have defied his attempts and any other manager you care to mention we might get to resolve things. Despite that I have only contempt for those who appear to want us to lose. That is never acceptable. The one saving grace is there are several clubs worse off than us.This, short of a disaster, will keep us fairly safe. I have no smart tactical answers to our predicament. Just support the team no matter what.

I'll touch him if he declares himself to not be a targetman and promise never to hold the ball or head any ball coming his way. Target men are bad. Nobody wins with one. /s

I keep hearing of these ‘ones who want us to lose’ who are they? The only one I can recall saying this is @davek. It is possible to support the team whilst being appalled with the manager, both in his paucity of constructive tactics and his Machiavellian schemings and complete inability to accept any responsibility for his failings, it’s always someone else’s fault.
