Interesting listening to Gary Neville. Talks about Solksjaer keeping his job due to the failures of the people coming in like Van Gaal and Mourinho while saying Moyes should have been given more time.

Most of us looking at them can see that they need someone to come in and take them up a level tactically now to win the big prizes. The issue is that big hitters would likely add their own non-United type style like a Conte.

With us, we need to have a defined style of play. Benitez should know back to front exactly what the 'Everton' style of play is -- hes stated several times that he knows what we want to see.

My hope is that he performs a clear out of 50%+ of the squad. He then brings in players to fit into a system and style which we can build on.

At this stage, we need that style of play and system with players brought in who can get us an identity.

Having said that, were not going to attract the players we need unless were top 6.

Our first 11 is around top 6 standard and based on other teams and their additional European fixtures we should be in and around there this season.

He has to get this group of players performing and fast. That was a shambolic capitulation yesterday and it does not reflect well on him at all.

I dont need to show you anything. My conscience is clear when/if this manager gets the boot I gave him a chance like I will the next one even if its **shudders** Eddie Howe.

What you claimed questions my character, so yes you do need to evidence it. But you can't. It's a disgrace to make claims like that with no evidence. This isn't about your conscience being clear about the manager, mine is also clear. This is a separate issue about you making baseless and accusatory comments that questions my character.

We can disagree about football, that's fine. But don't make claims like that unless you have evidence.

Oh not saying it was good just highlighting the regression so far.

And the reason why it was brilliant was because we played 4 CB's, 2 CDM's (including a shackled Doucoure) and camped in our own half relying on set pieces to score a goal and hold on to 1-0 for dear life.

Benitez tries to play more open football like fans wanted and like Koeman & Silva before him these crap defenders can not do the basics.

But hey why let fachts get in the way of an agenda Christopher.

1) How is being organised at set pieces got anything with a formation. It was called good coaching, it worked greatly and now it’s been binned. Almost as many set piece goals conceded compared to all of last season from the tactical genius
2) we played that way because the manager knew the team didn’t have the ability to play open, expansive football - it’s called coaching and knowing your team.
3) lol’in at Benitez playing open football - massive L O L. We’re playing exactly the same as last year but with an outlet in Gray. The football on offer is as dire as last year and we are setup to give the opposition the ball and hopefully hit them on the counter - like last year

You messing? We were a joke at the back, absolute keystone cops especially at home. Conceded 48 goals which was the third most in the top half. We were boss at heading free kicks and corners away on our own six yard line like.

There was a time when Benitez was a far better manager than Moyes but it was well over a decade ago. Since then Moyes has stayed at the same level he's always been at and the FSW has got increasingly worse. He's a dinosaur and everyone who doesn't have an obvious agenda and/or isn't a total idiot can see it.
