It's high on the list of religious nonsense that's accepted without question by millions of followers. A torture thought up by a human & passed off as the work of a deity. The sabbath switches in Judaism runs it a close 2nd for me, in terms of its sheer idiocy.

Is it a great feat? Well having spent some time in Marrakesh during Ramadan then yes it bleeding is! & fair play to those who are disciplined enough to achieve it

I stopped over in IStanbul airport last year and there were all these people in these ill fitting white robes. I googled it when i got back and apparently they have to make the pilgrimage with those robes and the robes weren't allowed any knots or stitches?!?!

It's all about Islam and how we should change to accommodate it. It's getting a bit repetitive and if anything is fueling the resentment as it's being forced down our throats in various forms pretty much daily. The media is so horribly biased aswell.

When have there ever been significant numbers of Sikh, Hindu or Jewish players in the Premier League? What a daft comparison. And as for Jews - Avraam Grant, Yossi Benayoun & Tal Ben Haim refuse to play on Yom Kippur...
No taking it easy in training, or making allowances on matchday - straight up not doing anything.

Incidentally, they're not supposed take/give out loans with interest either, so that's not an Islamic only thing.

Religion is based on faith more than facts and common sense. I see a place in the world for it though it's not for me.

This is a major test and no mistake. Imagine doing this in Qatar or any of the middle eastern countries.

Watch it. Disagree with it. I'm just looking at getting opinions. All about educating myself and getting different perspectives. Cant stand it when things are just outrightly dismissed as it doesn't fit in with someones perfect ideology. Its obviously a very cryptic religion as there seems to be lots of interpretations.

Are we to judge Protestantism on Ian Paisley's rants against the Catholic church and his and his son's views on women?

Are we to judge all Catholicism on the sexual abuse by some priests?

Tbh mate, look at any Islamic country and tell me where the women are treated well. Don't want to go off on a tangent btw, this is just one issue. When it comes back to ramadam in this country, we have religious freedom so anyone can express their views and do as they please. Just don't like a minority religion being pushed into the mainstream. Especially one where I really don't agree with the principles.

Islam is far from alone in having many interpretations. Look how many Christian denominations and sects there are or even how many, although less, Jewish.

Its the same old answer though mate. Islam? Well what about this? What about that? There's only one religion that seems to be causing so much discussion in this country (and its this country and maybe Europe at a push which is all Im arsed about). People need to stop deflecting away from the issues and address why people feel a certain way. There's no smoke without fire.
