Its the same old answer though mate. Islam? Well what about this? What about that? There's only one religion that seems to be causing so much discussion in this country (and its this country and maybe Europe at a push which is all Im arsed about). People need to stop deflecting away from the issues and address why people feel a certain way. There's no smoke without fire.

What I just said wasn't deflecting anything. Your comment suggested Islam was somehow exceptional in having umpteen different interpretations. I was just showing you it isn't.

Tbh mate, look at any Islamic country and tell me where the women are treated well. Don't want to go off on a tangent btw, this is just one issue. When it comes back to ramadam in this country, we have religious freedom so anyone can express their views and do as they please. Just don't like a minority religion being pushed into the mainstream. Especially one where I really don't agree with the principles.

Ramadan is something that Muslims do. A bit like eating fish on a Friday or Easter food things that Christians do.

There are many minority religions in this country. Catholicism is a minority religion in this country but is very mainstream and gets a voice in the media.

Some minority religions are 'being pushed into the mainstream' but Islam is not one of them.

Quite possibly the most stupid and generalizing statement I have ever read on a football forum internet site. Thats some going because not even RAWK could plumb the depths you just have. Congratulations.

Back to the level headed audience. There was a really good program about Ramadan on channel 4 three or four days ago - it was fronted by a retired rugby league player that is obviously a Muslim and the show went around the community, to the cash n carry to discover the effects on staff and stock, predominantly muslim schools, next door neighbours, a Muslim that converted in 1973, it was fascinating. Instead of approaching the subject and the people with hate and prejudice I actually gave the show the time of day with a clean slate. Judge not lest ye be judged.
