He was awful and I'm not even including the goal in the first half. Absolutely awful. Poor touches, terrible passes, missed headers, the lot.

However it's only one match and he's still adapting so lets give him a full season before we make any judgments. I think he could be a good player for us.

Think you should stop watching football either way as he had a good game. If you can go back and watch the second half where he won several towering headers, made a load of good clearances and strolled out of defence with ease can you please tell me where he did all that you said?

Shaky in the first half looked like he needed ten minutes on the ball. 2nd half he stepped up he was very good led by the brilliant Galloway!

A very promising 2nd half he looked a different player not as classy as Stones, but he wins headers better won quite a few in the 2nd half he should get better, and better!

I think he's OK. He's getting picked for Argentina, so he must be doing something right.

Part of the problem is that when he gets the ball you can think "Emm, Stones would have moved sideways,skipped past the attacker and threaded the ball to Ross to set up an attack.". He's no Stones , but he has all the attributes to become a very good PL defender .... in time.

Thought the lad did fine, it was his first start in the premier league, i thought he dealt with it well and this lad will get better the more he plays and the more he settles in, i just can't understand it when people start slating out own players when they have just signed, give him time and get behind him.
