I'm not that bothered about him making mistakes; it's more that he looks like he's going to make a mistake all the time. He makes me nervous, just like Distin did.

I'm not overly impressed with him yet, put bluntly. But he has time to come good. I think people are forcing themselves to praise him thus far out of a desire to see him be actually good, rather than because he is good.

dunno mate, maybe a little of that is true of people, for me I've seen him make some really good covering challenges and recovery ones, interceptions and the like, the type of things you don't see bog average centre backs do consistently, his passing as well looks for a centre half top drawer and the fact he isnt scared to bring the ball forward means teams cant just load up against stones to stop him bringing it out, or on barry for that matter, think it's noticable that Barry has improved since mori came into the side, little subtle things like that are what has caught my eye more than anything

He's got a massive tendency to turn back inside and invite pressure on the back line and he needs to cut that out and sharpen up.

Given he's new to the league and it's been an ever changing back four without our most experienced defenders he's likely to have a few odd mistakes in him, it's his ability to learn from them which will show if he's got what it takes.

Howard saved him big time yesterday.

And had Howard got it wrong, it would have been red card, penalty (was he in the box?) and potential goal, all because of that stupid backpass.

I rate him as 6/10 so far, which is about as expected for a never-heard-of-him-before defender from thousands of miles away.

Definitely has it in him to become a good player though! You don't start for Argentina if you're rubbish, right?

Exactly. People talk as if he is from the conference coming good. He is an Argentine international. That proves he is good

How long has Jags been out for? Haven't heard anyone mention Jags for a few weeks now, no talk of when is he back...etc That for me is a sign of how well Mori has slotted into the squad, one of our best players over the last few years isn't even in the squad and it isn't an issue.

I'm impressed how quickly he's settled in. South American players usually take a bit of time, and I can forgive him a mistake or two, as long as they're not too costly.

I feel confident enough with him there.

On the one hand its great to have him here...could end up as Jagielkas long term replacement.

On the other hand i hope Galloways rapid progression isnt blocked by him.

Noticed that from his first game. Obviously a confidence thing but something we'll need him to improve over the coming months.

I think he is doing as well as anyone could have reasonably expected him to do. He has come from a relatively small club on the other side of the world and he is playing regularly. He would have expected a wee bit longer to adjust to the different demands of the Premiership.
