RB Leipzig

1-1

That was coming. They’ve grown back into this game as Leipzig have taken their foot off the gas and a started to get wound up. Class finish though.

2-1

Xaver! Absolute banger from outside the box. The second half has been fiery with one goal disallowed, the non-penalty and some good saves by their keeper. Been a great game so far.

3-1

Game wrapped up with a couple of minutes left. Henrichs does brilliant to tackle Elia just outside RB’s box before he drives into the opposition half feeding Sesko who slots calmly.

RBL Matchday

Swift turnaround and back to league action as Leipzig look to pick up their 4th league win a row, 5th in all comps, against lowly Gladbach. However this is a bit of a bogey trip with 3 away defeats on the spin so despite Gladbach being winless so far it isn't going to be so simple - especially as I expect the players to still be a bit knackered from Tuesday. However, great news is that Sesko finally gets his start! As does Fabio Carvalho who needs to try and stake a claim whilst Olmo is out injured. I'm still going to go for a narrow win since Gladbach's side just isn't very good going forwards and they've sold Hoffman who always scored *touch wood.

Game is LIVE from 14.30pm

1-0 RBL

Woooooo Timo. Game has been as grim and lethargic as expected but a bolt out of the blue thanks to Xavi feeding Werner who scores from a very tight angle. Would have missed it if he was central.

1-0 FT

That's a cracking victory. The sort of dossy 1-0 wins you need if you ever want to try beat Bayern to a title. The win train continues... currenly joing 2nd with Stuttgart and Hoffenheim, 1pt behind Bayern. Next fixture is a routine cup tie next Wednesday against Wehen Wiesbaden.

RBL beat Wehen Wiesbaden 3-2 in the cup tonight. Seems like a close scoreline against a second division seen but missed the game so who knows. Either way, slippy trip avoided.

Using your thread again but: Reis rightly sacked because of shocking play and shocking results, Kreutzer is interim again.

No idea why Hechelmann (DoF) is saying the players have this allegedly amazing potential - he's signed some very, very average BuLi2 players all over, not a lot are "stand out" players, if any, and he expects this squad to absolutely walk the league...

Shocking from Schalke this year, expected more/better in all honesty.

Also what I feared would happen to Everton if we were to go down too. Can you imagine if we were at the bottom of the Championship around October? Heads will fall off ffs

I was going to message you this morning when I read the Reis news. Proactive decision really - didn't want to keep dragging out poor performances like Everton would with a manager.

Maybe you'll do an Arminia and go down again lol
