It's the time to pick fruit, gathered six pounds of plums in half an hour this morning. Will make some jam and stew some for crumbles later in the year. Will pick some rowan berries and apples tomorrow.

Bacon grease is amazing to use for everything, really surprised you just tossed it! Problem is, on my end, we use too much bacon so that we would have half our fridge full of the stuff if we didn't toss it.I’m embarrassed to say that until I read this article I would just dispose of bacon grease.
