Referees v Everton

I was thinking the same re: Gordon pen shout. I can't remember which game now ( and its probably several games), but I've definitely seen pens given when the attacker is considered by media to be 'clever enough' to get his body in front of the defender and draw a foul.
Harry Kane does it 4 or 5 times a season and gets them everytime, pundits w@nk over how intelligent he is doing it.
Happens to us and its little everton cheating to try and con a penalty!!

They're all terrible and VAR has made them even worse.
It's because they can all 'hide' behind the anonymous face of VAR.
It's not just the decisions which are made are, should we say 'questionable', it is their calls as to when VAR should be reviewed, and when they choose not to, as @LouReedwalkonthewildside post states above.
Piss-pawson was told to review and upgrade the card to red by Twatwell over his mic., but never once did that happen when the Skunks were kicking the bejabus out of Richy et-al all night.
Not corrupt? Hello-ooo, time to wake up!

There are three types of lies -- lies, damn lies, and statistics.
This phrase comes to mind when discussing VAR. In order to get the result you want you can freeze the frame, slow the clip down, pick the right angle.

The media love to run us down at every opportunity. Pickford gets it double barrels every mistake and every other week SS has an article on 'should Ramsdale be Englands no1'
He lets one in at his near post the other night and its 'should he have done better?'.. when it happens to Pickford its 'he shouldnt be getting beat at his near post'.
Same with pundits and Richy (who doesnt help himself by going down at every touch mind), he gets clipped goes down they cant wait to say he was playing for it/that was too soft.. yet that be a Sterling/Salah/Kane and theyll say the speed that footballers are going at these days the slightest contact is a foul.
But as long as there's big money involved the pressure will always be on pundits/refs/commentators to sway it in favour of the Dodgy 6.

I think they found with VAR it is much easier to control the narrative of the league and have it play out the way they deem fit. They see VAR as a critical tool in keeping their slimy clubs at the top of the league so the money keeps filling their pockets. What’s the benefit of having a club like Everton, Villa, Brighton making a push to be one of the next big clubs? A good news story? No, there is no benefit. It’s as long as the clubs like City, Liverpool, Man U, Chelsea are winning and being successful, they already have a global following for those teams and that’s all they need. VAR is just another way of protecting the big clubs along with the other questionable things in place to protect them.

Apparently Attwell (VAR from last night) is the ref for Sunday's game against Palace. I hope he get's the level of vile abuse he deserves from the away end. Oh and Lee Mason is VAR for that game too...
This fella shouldn't be anywhere near an Everton game after last night's fiasco. They are taking the pee out of us, we will get nothing again from either of them, except from another pitiful apology when another shocking mistake or two has been made.

What was even more embarrassing for those refs and the league is the result of how out of hand the game got due to their incompetence. Baffling. We got the last ef off to the league and the refs though.

Should never be allowed the same refs and var to do two consecutive matches just in case of controversial decisions.

I can think of at least 5 incidents that have directly contributed towards either goals or men being lost.

1. Richarlison pen against Spurs
2. Shelvey scissor tackle no red.
3. Romeu catching the ball against Southampton.
4. Rodri catching the ball a week after Romeu.
5. That appalling red for Allan last night.

I'm with Lampard at best it's incompetence, at worst...

Image of that lunge by Tarkowski on Richarlison and not even getting a free kick won't go away. And that's not dangerous play?
