Referees v Everton

I don't think refs are biased.
Maybe in Scotland with the Rangers and all that.
But I am old and try to see the best in people.

“Would it have changed the outcome? I’m not sure” lol got to laugh haven’t you.

Ah, initially a tussle. So by that logic, if 2 players are tussling and then one headbutts the other one, it is fine and play should continue as it was only initially a tussle.

Slow motion or real time, his shirt was nearly ripped off of him. I agree sometimes that a picture can distort the opinion negatively (see the Allen red card for that evidence) and sometimes a slow motion can actually make something look more aggressive (i.e. a clash of heads can seem more dramatic and dangerous in slow motion) but when the pictures are moving, here, it is quite clear that it is a foul.

No Pen, Richarlison, whilst running, places Lloris arm in his path

No Pen, Rondon just decided to get undressed on the pitch

No pen, Romeu told Ref he thought he was playing basketball

No pen, Rodri’s arm has been photoshopped in by everton media team

Corruption.

I know it is, which makes it even more laughable. As if he'd say that.

Seems unlikely to me too TBF, although the amount of decisions against us seems fairly unlikely too.

The picture is from when they played Man Utd on 27th December 2021. It is not a new one.

For a Premier League referee to be wearing a Premier League team shirt is a bit iffy regardless. Time for foreign refs IMO.

It is certainly a bit strange, hardly showing impartiality

They would all just support the big clubs too.

I don’t think you’ll find a worse decision in the entirety of football.

Obviously they has been poor decisions prior to the implementation of VAR; but to have a third person look at it and determine it’s not handball is just laughable.

If we stay up, I’d love the club to call a press conference and highlight all the inconsistencies and draw attention to it.

Im pretty sure that other clubs outdside the sky 6 have “dubious” decisions as well; it needs to be rammed home weekly, in the media until change is brought about.

It was the same with silva, the decisions that went against him cost him about 12 points. The Michael Keane penalty at Brighton still stands out

If we go down I’d love to see the club sue the PGMOL. We’d almost certainly lose but it would be good to see a lot of their internal evidence come to light and at the very least drain those scum bags for legal fees.

I actually don't mind pundits being biased, it's only human nature really, just up the representation a bit. As long as they get pulled up for saying something stupid that's fine.

The bigger issue for me is the nameless propagandists. The hosts or commentators who nobody really cares about who spew the big club bile all the time but hide behind a mask of neutrality. Newspapers are rife with this too.

Agree, I don’t mind pundits saying what they think (although I’m past bored of watching Carragher and Neville just playing for clicks by throwing out ridiculous mocking banter, they’re not a patch on some of the older pundits back in the day)

Commentators though should be impartial. If you listen to any match from before about 2000 the tone of the commentary is almost reverential to both teams. Lots of talking up their proud histories, fanbases, local stories etc.

Now you just get Carragher spitting his way through most Everton games pushing whatever senseless agenda suits him to either pressure a manager like he did with Mourinho and Solksjaer, or create narratives about players for referees (Gordon and Richarlison now the worse and only divers in the league)

Commentary has seeped into punditry which has seeped into mainstream media which is seeping into actions on the pitch which is all being underpinned by tv money backed up by betting. It’s become a disgrace and most people I know who can still be bothered to pay for BT or Sky actually turn the volume off and don’t watch the build up.
