Moyes will surely be sacked tonight. Sullivan won't accept that.
Who comes in ? Benitez ?
But it was business as usual on Thursday with Moyes and the players in for training and recovery.

Moyes is due to speak to the media on Friday morning and, as things stand, will be in the dugout at Fulham on Saturday, the PA news agency understands.

Then it's the Europa Conference League Quarter Final on Thursday in Ghent.

They have been my tip to go all along and I still think they will go. Moyes just seems a bit lost now, he doesn't have the tactical awareness to drag them out of this imo, he has his system and he sticks with it. Problem for them is they have spent a fortune last summer and a lot of those players are wasted in that system and he won't change it and it's costing them. Majority of hammers fans down here want him gone either now or in the summer.

Im amazed that a midfield of Rice and Paqueta arent running over teams.

Scamacca has been a total waste of a signing.

Think if West Ham lose on the weekend, Moyes might then go. Didn't think they'd sack him after tonight - they beat forest & southampton when they had to. They won't go imo.

I also think they've got a decent chance to rescue this just due to having games in hand

Going out of Europe might be a good thing for their survival hopes though

I wonder if Moyes priorities the league and sends out a weakened team for the European games from now on?

Could be wrong, but I think their game in hand is against City
I say this every season but who you play when nobody else is playing doesn't really matter. The fact that you have an extra game in which to pick up points is what's important, the order the games come in is irrelevant really. West Ham are arguably in the really bizarre situation of the extra game not necessarily being a good thing though, because they've got so many games left to play (and potentially more to add) that they could easily find themselves running on empty soon.

Tough times for Moysie and West Ham - 14 difficult games in two months.
Can Moyes survive? Can West Ham survive? And look at the last game!

2nd April West Ham United 1 Southampton 0
5th April West Ham United 1 Newcastle United 5
8th April Fulham v West Ham United
13th April KAA Gent v West Ham United
16th April West Ham United v Arsenal
20th April West Ham United v KAA Gent
23rd April AFC Bournemouth v West Ham United
26th April West Ham United v Liverpool
29th April Crystal Palace v West Ham United

3rd May Manchester City v West Ham United
7th May West Ham United v Manchester United
13th May Brentford v West Ham United
20th May West Ham United v Leeds United
28th May Leicester City v West Ham United

Ghent is nearer than Newcastle, but there will be more games - and travel - if West Ham go through.
They have one ‘easy’ home game

After a year (or so) in charge from Lampard I couldn't see what he was trying to achieve unless playing at an incredible slow pace with no attacking intent was his aim. I believe we could have given Lampard five seasons and nothing would emerge from his tactical and managerial approach (other than successive relegations).

I don't see Lampard having any impact at Chelsea other than just telling them to go out and play. That said they have a wonderful squad and if he can release the shackles that Potter was putting on them (as he tried to change their attitude/approach) then I wouldn't be surprised if they win against Wolves. You can only underperform for so long.

Of course I could be wrong and he makes them even worse than they have been recently (give the talent available).
Against top teams like City and Arsenal a team like Chelsea to get anything need good organisation and the strategy a top manager brings. Against the lower lights in this league Chelsea can get away with telling their players to go and express themselves and score goals, and that's what will happen.

I think we will need 11 more points from the remaining 9 match days to avoid relegation, as I believe 38 points will keep us up this year.

@ United
vs Fulham
@ CP
vs New Castle
@ Leicester
@ Brighton
vs City
@ Wolves
vs Bournemouth

If you count Fulham and Bournemouth as must wins at Goodison, can the boys get 5 points from the remaining 7 fixtures?

Away days at Palace, Leicester, and Wolves look the most likely to me.

I genuinely believe we will all be white knuckling it through those last two fixtures with safety only coming on the last day of the season. Thoughts?

Yep with other results generally being fairly in our favour and with slowly building momentum and some semblance of a positive never say attitude in the camp, I would hope we are, dare I say, not only looking to escape relegation but climbing the table as much as possible….it is also an important factor to attract the right calibre of player (no transfer ban permitting) in the summer
All being well, I think we'll end up 13th or 14th.

I thought it would be between us and Leeds fighting it out over 18th/19th. Leeds problem was they couldn't defend and where too gung-ho, but they have appointed a more pragmatic manager which has really helped them. I think they'll be OK, hopefully we can keep up what we have been doing as well.

Those two wins you believe + Newcastle at home and an away win.

I dont believe we'll register one away win all season. We have a lot of resolve now and we play some winnable games away.

All told, I reckon we get no fewer than the 12 points we've got already under Dyche.

I'd be very surprised if we dont finish with somewhere between 38 and 41 points.
