They only win 1 in 2 games. They just don't lose a lot. I fancy we could get a draw at least.Newcastle will batter us no matter what team we put out.

Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t ffp done off rolling 3 years numbers and taking into account current wages? We're in such a financial mess that it could finish us off for decades. Points deductions for finances, administration and more points deductions are all possible if we drop. If, as many thought, Moshiri is little more than the ventriloquists dummy, the funding will run out. There's no guarantee that he wouldn't asset strip anything of remote value to claw back some losses. He would certainly struggle to continue to fund the tens of millions of yearly losses we rack up. What we have today isn't fun and isn't enjoyable but it could get worse.
I fear the great reset would be more of a great implosion.
Yeah, sure you do. We have been relegated twice in the last 73 years. So unless u are well 80+ years old and with an excellent memory then that sounds like a little enrichment of the truthIn comparison with us they are.
I've known them to be second tier clubs three times in my memory.
They're an established English club with a great history like us, but their fans dont have the same experiences as us. That's not possible. Only Arsenal fans know what we know.
Wow, well done Sir! (your name was a bit of a giveaway).Erm. Correction. My first 2 seasons at Goodison were in div 2. 52/53 and 53/54.
The Fulham game second half the team looked fearful. What has to be borne in mind is that other teams are in the same position as us, in fear of losing the next 2-3 games on the bounce, and being deep in it. It's simply up to us to now get the results to drag ourselves clear.
It's no more complicated than that. Whether we CAN pull ourselves clear is another matter altogether...
Sunderland could be in the PL next season, they are in the playoff positions with 2/3 games left to playI think if we go down this time we'll probably be down again not too soon after
Relegation here and we're Sunderland
yeah, sorry 3. 60s, 87 and a few years ago. I was not counting the 2017 relegation LOLThree times, surely?
Hold on, in the last 73 years Villa have been relegated 5 times:Yeah, sure you do. We have been relegated twice in the last 73 years. So unless u are well 80+ years old and with an excellent memory then that sounds like a little enrichment of the truth
Wow, well done Sir! (your name was a bit of a giveaway).
And ground-share with Tranmere. That is my thinking.
We have just about survived last season and this season might go the same way and no doubt we will struggle next season as well with a potential punishment if found guilty by this commitee.
Take our medicine and get relegated so we have can have a full reset from the board, owner and the big earners off the wage bill.
Iirc, and I can't bothered rechecking the exact details, we have salaries at 95% of revenue and lost £50m even after selling Richarlison.Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t ffp done off rolling 3 years numbers and taking into account current wages?
We spent nothing this year, nothing last year and have already got Tosun, Delph, Sigurdsson, James, Digne, Richarlison etc. off the books and will also get Mina and others off the books this year so I don’t think we will be screwed as long as we manage to stay up.
I think the stopping in spending has been purely because of FFP since Usmanov got black balled but that doesn’t mean we can’t spend money once our wages are under control with our new level of revenue stream.
We won’t be going back to the nonsense money Koeman and Walsh threw around but we’ll be able to build a team… which let’s face it, we didn’t when Koeman and Walsh threw all that money around.
Crapping myself here.
Any grounds for optimism?
It’s not pure profit no but Tosun, Delph, Sigurdsson, James, Digne, Richarlison, Mina probably averaged 100+kpw and there’s no way any of those recent signings are close to that, let alone the fact we’ve lost more than we’ve signed.Iirc, and I can't bothered rechecking the exact details, we have salaries at 95% of revenue and lost £50m even after selling Richarlison.
We've added Mykolenko, Patterson, Garner, Gana, Tarks, Onana and McNeil so it's not like those that drop off become pure profit
Yes, we are Everton. Since Dyche took over we have lost against;Crapping myself here.
Any grounds for optimism?
I thought I wrote from the top flight. I am aware we went to Div 3, I have read about it but as I was only 2 years old at the time it really didn't bother me that much. However, I can confirm that I didn't go to any of the games and nor did I watch the highlights on TVHold on, in the last 73 years Villa have been relegated 5 times:
1958/59
1966/67
1969/70 (to go into Division 3 by the way!)
1986/87
2015/16
Are you sure you support Villa?
