For me, they’re must win.

Id much rather us do our bit, then rely on others to help us out.

I think it’s a dangerous game to be relying on multiple teams failing to win for the rest of the season, to be truthfully honest.
I agree that Everton must do their bit but given the current positions on the table, there is no choice but to rely on other teams helping you out.

So what is everyone's reason for wanting to stay in the PL?

Financial worry if relegated
Elite league status
Other?
This is a great question. For me personally, if we were relegated, I would be concerned about our financial well being, the inevitable player sell offs needed, financing the new stadium, ability to attract sponsors and so forth. Granted, there may be a few positives, but that's for another post. As far as elite league status, well that sounds rather "elitist," I would characterize this as reputational harm if relegated, a good Everton name taking a bit of a hit, there is some pride in staying up.

But honestly one of the biggest negatives for me as a supporter in the USA is the inability to see all of the Championship league games, unlike the simple broadcast subscription that allows me to see all Premier league games. It would be so much harder for me to support the team I have come to love over the last 10 years if I am unable to watch all the games on TV, though I would continue to be a big supporter. I've been to Goodison, but obviously cannot get there regularly. Less exposure and availability worldwide would be a big negative for many others I would think as well. Staying up would allow me see all of our league games over the course of the season and that's a big reason for me personally to want us to stay in the PL.

We only have Leeds to fret about on Saturday with their City matchup, before "Super Monday" sees the other 4 in action. I am not counting WHAM as they already have 34pts - which some on here feel would be enough to keep us up. A point or 2 from 4 games sees them very safe.
It will be nice to have less bum squeeking through the weekend!

'I've been down there, I know what it's like and every season there have been tough patches for us.

'It's hard to explain, but sometimes you sense that a team might have lost how to win a game.

'I said to them at half time, "I'm not sure these know how to win a game, away from home particularly".

One year on and it’s still the same, 1 win in 11 would testify to that.

ESPN plus broadcasts championship matches but I've found their coverage is very limited like on a Saturday for example they'd only play like two or three matches but who knows if Everton dropped hopefully don't have to worry about that and we stay up

The way the fixtures fall City have three games left to play after the Arsenal v Forest match. So even if it’s improbable City lose all three it’s highly unlikely that Arsenal will be mathematically out of things by then so they should be at full strength.

That’s a good and key call

I’m in the USA as well. Surely if we go down there will be a streaming option through the club we can purchase. iFollow is what they call it I believe?

No question about that. It’s a fool’s errand hoping other results go our way - the players need to fight for it. As Kendall said at half time, “Don’t let those fans down.”

Thanks Curtis. Yes, that was my understanding as well, that Championship league match coverage is limited. Indeed, let's hope we stay up.

Thanks. Hmm, no idea, I hope so. I will be exploring all broadcast options should relegation happen!
