Go in to next week with it in our own hands is all we can ask for after the season we had .
Ideally we are safe after the weekend but having it in our own hands next week with as big a gap as possible to 18th place is good enough for me
Yup. Funnily enough, even a draw at Wolves might - in the end - turn out to be crucial because if, say, we draw at Molineux and Leeds lose, then it may be that we could lose the last game - Leeds might draw - and we'd still stay up. Assuming Leicester drop, that is.

Furthermore, a draw at Wolves in the event of a failure to win might even bring Forest into view with a Bournemouth draw. It's possible they lose their last two.

So, I want a win. We all do. But a draw - which will likely seem disappointing when it happens - could soon become another small but significant step to safety by the end of the weekend. The problem is we will all be on tenter-hooks until Monday night if we fail to win...

Would anyone be backing Everton if we were away at West Ham this weekend? Would it be an easy game because of their European extortions? Or would everyone still be expecting our poor away form and poor record in London to continue as a buoyant West Ham put us away easily despite us having extra days rest?

It’s exactly the same for Leeds. All the teams down the bottom are as bad as each other and all of them struggle massively away from home against anyone. If anything we’re the only ones with a slightly positive away record that might point towards any points on the road.

Sorry Dave. I should take a more nuanced and less hyperbolic view of the bigger picture like you often do.
It's true though isn't it? They had Newcastle there for the taking: esarly KO, one goal up, penalty, Newcastle wobbling...they almost conspired then to lose the game.

I fully expect Leeds to get f.a. away to Werst Ham. That'd be the where the smart money would go.

I was reading something the other day about the teams around us all trying to get the financial fair play situation rushed and if not they want money if we stay up. It got me thinking if this goes against us and we do manage to stay up are we already relegated next season if they take a load of points off us before the season even starts
They want to sue us for damages because we spent too much money
Counter sue citing the fact that we spent it so badly that this actually gave them an advantage while disadvantaging us.
They should be grateful.
It's not our fault they're so crap as to not take advantage of our help.

I've never heard him speak ill of the club, he stayed longer that he had to as he clearly enjoyed it here. The hatred only goes one way from our fans for one of our best players of the prem era.

None of that is important though, as if anyone watched the documentary they will know he is trying develop a deep rooted culture and will be into them to win this game
Didn't he hand in a transfer request an hour before the window closed to force a move through to Arsenal?
