Been a full on Everton fan since 1960, in all that time there was never a worse time than these last two seasons even that one that which Campbell saved.
Same here. There have been some boring times in the 70s and 90s....and whatever I'm feeling now it isn't boredom...but this is undoubtedly the worst. Putting out a patchwork team that must win to stay in the league. Jeez. We'll do it though

Each to their own. I'm nervous already! We could very easily get relegated on Sunday.

While we are in a better position than the other two teams, staying up relies on our team showing up and putting in a shift to get a win. This is something that they have consistently failed to do for the last 2 seasons, baring the odd exception.

Yes, we could lose and still stay up, but Leicester or Leeds are capable of pulling a win out of the bag, as bad as they have been.

I just dont trust our team to be able to pull off a win when they need it most.
It's in the balance, but tilted in our direction from the off.

We're in the best seat there is. If we dont get the win then we may be punished.

I'll say this though: the threat to us was much greater in last week's games IMO when Leeds faced a WHU team barely back off the plane from Holland. Leeds massively blew their chance and I think that'll be the last big threat to us.

Nobody sane has enjoyed this season. If we stay up, the only thing to celebrate is the relief that it's over. These players have been a disgrace to the shirt. The board is beyond contempt. Anybody joyously invading pitches at the end of this is an accomplice to a repeat next season.

1994 was understandable. 1998, less so. Last year was an embarrassment, a celebration of abject mediocrity and the frenzied onanistic cult-driven anointment of Fraudulent Frank on his ascension to false god status.

This year? Give Sean Dyche a clap. The rest should be immediately transfer listed - not appreciated.
Purist nonsense.

I for one will be punching the air and dancing a jig of delight if we stay up.

This "I wont celebrate staying up" is just a nob measuring exercise for those who want to prove their the 'bluest'.

Erm yes, I do actually. It'll be no mean feat what that manager will have done if we get safe.

The whiff of expectation and sound of feet stamping is unbelievable here.

So what we had to face another season of fighting for our PL lives? We dont get to be top half by right.
I'm astonished by fans thinking Dyche (maybe keeping us up) is seen as some sort of masterstroke!

If he does and i think he will keep us up he has done his job nothing more.

We were 1 point away from safety when he took over not 8 points adrift.
We are all saying how shocking Leicester and Leeds are and have been and yet here we are with a game to go and theirs a chance of both or one of them finishing above us and us being relegated.

We will finish with our lowest top flight points total ever and he is responsible (manager) for almost half of them games.
The other points we gained this season is by arguably the worst manager in recent history, and some looking at Dyche like sort of genius. Jeeez

Certainly wont be taking to the pitch for this one, Palace one was different 2 down at HT and a turnaround. This is in our hands, no big celebration - win, draw or lose the crowd should be turning on the board vocally at the Final whistle

After a sanity draining season which lead to apathy, I will definitely be celebrating staying up if/when it happens. Don't want to see any pitch invasions though, they don't deserve that and it is embarrassing. Enjoy the relief and disaster being averted feeling and then next week direct all energy towards the people running the club or we will just be back here again next season.

No striker is going to really tilt the odds against us, so the board have certainly done their work in ensuring we dont have fullbacks or strikers. Everyone will know squarely where the blame falls. Really need the rest of the squad to show up and Bournemouth to fold and maybe get a 1-0 result with whats left of the squad.

Lot of assumptions about running on the pitch if we stay up, telling you now if we go down the atmosphere will be poisonous, blues will be seething and will direct that at the empty boardroom regardless of what some people on here want.

If we go down, I hope the atmosphere is poisonous. I mean I don't want to see the old lady smashed up or anyone get hurt but I really hope Evertonians make their anger known, dont care if thats on the pitch or in the stands.
If we stay up, I still hope they make their anger known but without a pitch invasion.

I am not so sure - I think if we lose and go down everyone will be numb and in shock. There is no way to prepare for that blow really until/if it happens.

Results of the Leeds and Leicester matches really could go in either direction, so we need to sort out our own business so that it doesn't matter

That's the team talk sorted for Dyche

"Win and we're safe, so win"
Leicester is the danger, I think Leeds are done they need 2 results to go in their favour. I think their ground will be flat early on. And will only change if results start to go in their favour. Also they have the worst defence in the league and for all spurs poor form their front players will get plenty of chances Sunday.

Leicester is the one as I think they will win. Personally we should be going for the throat at the first minute abs try and kill Bournemouth early doors a goal or two will have their players dreaming of the cocktails at the pool of the 7* resort they will be at the following week.

But it wouldn’t surprise for dyche to be cautious and even take 0-0 at half time and see how the other results are going, before making his move.

Not a hater at all, don't have any problem with Everton in fact went to Goodison a few times in the 90s when I studied in Liverpool. Just facts are, with football the way it is, you've not been competitive for a long time, and won't be until you're bought out by the next Sheikh to come around.

If I’m honest the biggest threat is Leicester as that have the quality to get a result and with goal difference in their favour.

Leeds look shot but you never know with spurs so bottom line win or bust potentially and with the state of our squad I just don’t trust them
