When u can't beat the likes of soton, wolves and Brighton at home and get hammered by Bournemouth then you deserve to go down and sadly that's where we heading.
The signs were there that frank wasn't up to it when he lost twice to Bournemouth and that should have been him gone. Keeping him has led to us losing two massive home games against wolves and Southampton and now leaving the club in a perilous position with a tougher second half season than the first. There is still a chance of staying up if frank goes but he must go instantly.

I think the Premier league is a closed shop anyway so from the perspective of relegation I'm not all that bothered. But what does bother me is losing a 70+ year consecutive top flight record and also losing a record of being a Premier league ever present. Relegation would effectively lower us a category in status and prestige.

And to see the board accepting relegation in keeping frank is angering. We would for sure have 4+ more points if he was sacked after Bournemouth even If it was just from a new manager bounce.

Yup. This is about right. Brighton are a good team but the manner of that hurt. Hurts more looking at the way Howe has got Newcastle purring. Good coach. Scoffed at my many on here as an option. You reep what you sew I guess.

Looks like pretty much everybody bar a few are resigned to relegation now.

Can’t believe it’s finally coming, but the way the club has been run it’s been in the post for a long time.

There’s every chance the club will crumble as an entity unless it’s sold very soon. Got to pray there are willing buyers ready to come in and rescue it, especially with the enticement of the stadium.

If there is, they'll wait until we get relegated I reckon. A savvy business would pick us up on the cheap

They’re like us playing 5 aside with your mates, you’ll never get better playing/training with the same level of player every week and most of you think you’re better than you are.

There's still half a season left, believe it or not. The problem for me is even if the players are behind Lampard, they're a rabble. Trying not to be too unkind, but we're 19th, we have won just 3 games, we're losing like it is inevitable, sure as water flows down you can expect us to go 1 up and then lose.

I didn't want Lampard to be yet another manager to be sacked, but honestly, I don't think it's working what ever him and his staff are doing. We need a fix we've seen other clubs do it and it usually happens every year (we seem to be one of them clubs now as well) clubs will sack managers and bring someone else in. It's got to happen, because this lot (players) are not capable by themselves.

Whoever comes in will be divisive as well. Can the owner be trusted to make the right decision?

We're down. There isn't three worse teams then us this season. In reality there isn't one worse then us. We're rancid. Absolutely rancid. This team will struggle in the championship. We'll be very lucky to not end up in another relegation battle just to stay in the 2nd tier next season.
Tend to agree I'm hoping a manager change and some players help but I am ultimately resigned to it and the owner and board have brought this tragedy upon us.

Unless we bring in 2 players who immediate improve us in attack then we will not survive playing the current 'style' of football.
In the meantime we should drop Mykolenko, Godfrey back to LB, Coleman on the right.
4 narrow across the midfield and we pump it long to Calvert Lewin and whoever else we can bring in this window, and play off the knock downs and set pieces.
80s stuff.
Make us hard to beat and play off scraps is the Fat Sam playbook, the way we're looking now its the only chance we have of scoring goals.
