I fully expect it. It won't be unexpected to me. We could never rely on those three clubs remaining so poor. Forest underlined last year that a team can start poor then be competitive.A lifeline and huge morale boost to Luton, Sheffield United, and Burnley. One wonders if this will also make Everton fair game when it comes to refereeing and VAR decisions, however subconsciously. All it takes now are a few injuries to key men (DCL, etc.) and ONE of the three promoted sides to go on an unexpected run and we could be left dangling at the end of a rope by season's end.
Today has been disastrous, potentially ruinous. Leaving aside the injustice of lack of proportionality (not to mention the double standards of not sanctioning the Super League 6 or the dubious behaviour of Manchester City, Chelsea, and Newcastle), we could find ourselves losing a few games, getting a few injuries and having, say, Sheffield United go on a bit of a run to leave us 9 or 10 points from safety. It might not be plausible right now, but this could sprial out of control quite quickly and leave us playing under serious pressure by Christmas. If panic sets in, all bets are off. Critical we maintain our current form and garner quick points from next week on.
What a load of absolute horse [Poor language removed].That's now gone and we find ourselves favourites to go down IMO.
No morale will not be floored it is awful what has happend but this club can finally get on the same page. Is us against the scum of this league and we will go into the rest of the games fighting. It will be tough but we can come back, we go behind in a game so what we go again, or we get beat go into the next game.I fully expect it. It won't be unexpected to me. Basically, those 14 points we ran up before this mess was our insurance money. That's now gone and we find ourselves favourites to go down IMO.
The morale will be floored in the next few tough games if we're adrift by a few more points...and I expect that btw...and the likely injuries we'll get will see us into the Championship.
People seem to be minimising this and grasping at the straws of 3 teams defo worse off than Everton - a belief held by others outside of Everton today.
They're living in a dreamland.
There you go. No fat pig tattoo for me!
I'm outraged by today's farce. But when you've lived through the injustice of the European ban, this is more grist to the mill. Nevertheless, today puts us right in trouble. I hope those minimising today's disaster because the three promoted sides are so poor will pipe well down when one of them takes 7 from 9 and DCL cries off for six months.I fully expect it. That's a very very rosy view of what we have at our disposal to stay up.What a load of absolute horse [Poor language removed].
we are are 2 points behind Luton who are out of the relagation zone.
out of the bottom 4 clubs who are all close together, we have by FAR the best squad, by FAR the best form, by FAR the best manager, by FAR the best fans.
we will only be CLOSE to going down if one of these clubs starts putting runs together like we have over the last few months, which wont happen because none of them are capable of going to brentford, west ham and palace in consecutive away games and winning all ( ive taken out the derby because of how it played out with the red and the decisions )
That's a very very rosy view of what we have at our disposal to stay up.
Ok, let me ask youths: if Calvert-Lewin gets injured what happens...it's not, it's facts that we are a far better team them all of them.
that's why we have obtained 8 more points this season, despite only getting 1 from our first 5 games.
i'd love to see the difference in points since the brentford game
